I believe this is the original product from Japan. They also make a hydrophobic follow up product that repels all liquids. Haven't bought it or tried either yet. Now I will.

Grampa taught me a trick from his early days of driving… Slice a large onion in half and smear it all over the windshield let it dry and for a period you won’t even need windshield wiper blades. It’s not a permanent fix, but it sure helped me when my windshield motor failed.
