Continuing his catechetical series on the Dogmatic Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, Sacrosanctum Concilium, Pope Leo XIV reflects on the elements of the Rite and active participation: “The Rite of the Christian liturgy is the ecclesial mediation through which the divine gift reaches us. In the liturgy, we are invited to participate, body, mind, and heart, and enter into a dimension inhabited by the Holy Spirit. In order to enter into this dimension, the liturgy is woven with signs and symbols that have a performative and transformative dimension. For example, kneeling is a sign of our worship of God. While exchanging the sign of peace, points to our ecclesial communion. Further, signs help us to recall the constitutive acts of the Sacraments, as when we are sprinkled with holy water, we remember our commitment to Christ. As we prepare for the solemnity of Corpus Christi, may each of us reawaken our openness to an encounter with God by rediscovering the signs and symbols of the sacred liturgy.”

Cardinal Delivers Exorcism Prayer in St. Peter’s Basilica: Something else happened yesterday at the Summorum Pontificum Traditional Latin Mass in the Basilica of St Peter (October 25, 2025) that strikes me as significant. Among the well-known prelates in attendance at the Latin Mass celebrated by His Eminence Raymond Cardinal Burke was the renowned exorcist, Cardinal Ernest Simoni Troshani, who at 97 years of age stood at the pulpit and positively thundered an Exorcism prayer composed by Pope Leo XIII back in 1890. Who is Cardinal Simoni Troshani? Cardinal Simoni is an Albanian cardinal, born October 18, 1928, who according to his entry in the College of Cardinals Report, spent “eighteen years in jail at the hands of Albanian communists.” After having completed his seminary study clandestinely, he was ordained a priest on April 7, 1956. But on Christmas Eve 1963, after celebrating an “illegal” public Mass, Simoni was arrested and imprisoned. Initially, he was sentenced to death for offering the Mass (the TLM at that time), but the sentence was later commuted to twenty-five years of hard labor. During his years of imprisonment, Simoni endured “torture and harsh conditions, including work in mines and sewage canals.” Far from being intimidated by the threat of torture, he secretly celebrated the Latin Mass from memory and heard the confessions of his fellow prisoners. After his release in 1981, according to the College of Cardinals Report, Cardinal Simoni was still considered an “enemy of the people” and was thus forced to work in the Shkodrë sewers. Nevertheless, he continued to exercise his priestly ministry clandestinely until the fall of the communist regime in 1990. Fast-forward to present day. This heroic priest – once sentenced to death for celebrating the Mass – took part in yesterday’s Summorum Pontificum Pilgrimage. From the sanctuary of the Altar of the Chair, His Eminence delivered an exorcism prayer composed by Pope Leo XIII on May 18, 1890. The prayer was composed after Pope Leo had overheard a conversation between God and the Devil, just after offering Mass, in which the Devil bragged that he could destroy the Church in one hundred years. Fearful for souls and for the life of the Church of which Leo was visible head, the Holy Father composed the Exorcism prayer, which was recommended by the Church whenever any acts of the Devil are suspected. Here is an excerpt from the Exorcism Prayer prayed yesterday in St. Peter’s: “Beseech the God of Peace to crush Satan under our feet, that he may no more be able to hold men captive and to harm the Church. Offer our prayers in the sight of the Most High, so that the mercies of the Lord may quickly come to our aid, that thou mayest seize the dragon, the ancient serpent, who is the devil and Satan. . . We cast you out, every unclean spirit, every satanic power, every onslaught of the infernal adversary, every legion, every diabolical group and sect, in the name and by the power of our Lord Jesus + Christ.” Momentous things are happening, friends. This is a war between God and Satan, and many have only recently begun to understand the scope of it. So let us join this Holy War with the tools and the armor of God’s soldiers. Keep offering prayers of reparation and petition, that God will protect us and Holy Mother Church against the fires of Hell. Especially on this great Feast of Christ the King, let us offer prayers of thanksgiving for the good shepherds—the generals in this army—whom God, in His Providence, has seen fit to grant us. The mere existence of such men proves, once again, that God has not abandoned His Church.

Today, for the first time ever, the University of Notre Dame was consecrated to Sacred Heart of Jesus. After celebrating Mass in an overflowing Basilica of the Sacred Heart, Bishop Kevin Rhoades led students, Holy Cross priests, faculty and members of the wider community in a Eucharistic procession around campus. Then, on “God Quad”, before a statue of the Sacred Heart that looks up to the Blessed Mother on the Golden Dome, Bishop Rhoades led the group in the act of consecration, with Notre Dame president Fr. Bob Dowd by his side. Despite the Congregation of the Holy Cross and Notre Dame’s historic connection to the Sacred Heart, the university has never before been consecrated. And it likely wouldn’t have been today, without the initiative of students, who were inspired by the US bishops’ consecration of the nation, and approached ND administrators to do something similar on campus. As Bishop Rhoades put it, “Devotion to the Sacred Heart is in the DNA of Notre Dame.” And now, Our Lady’s university is consecrated to the Sacred Heart of her Son.

Ask a Protestant what the “pillar and foundation of the truth” is and you’ll probably hear: the Bible. But 1 Timothy 3:15 says it’s “the Church of the living God, the pillar and foundation of the truth.” Christ entrusted His teaching to the Apostles. Through that apostolic Church, Sacred Tradition was preserved and Scripture was handed down to us. You can reject the Catholic Church, but you can’t pretend the Bible appeared independently of the Church that preserved it.

Pope Leo on Dei Verbum: "Dear brothers and sisters, in our catechesis on the Dogmatic Constitution Dei Verbum, today we considered the profound and vital connection between the Word of God and the Church. Sacred Scripture, which has been entrusted to the Church and is guarded by her, reveals its meaning and manifests its strength in the life and faith of the Church, above all in the celebration of the Holy Eucharist. For this reason, the Church continually meditates upon and interprets Scripture because it is the means by which we come to know the incarnate living Word of God who is Jesus Christ. Indeed, praying with Scripture opens the door for an intimate relationship with God who through these sacred writings invites us into conversation with him. As Saint Jerome rightly points out, ignorance of Scripture is ignorance of God. With this in mind, I encourage you to read and contemplate the inspired word of God daily. May the Word of God nourish our hearts and minds and lead us to the fullness of life."

The parishioners were slow to arrive for Holy Mass, so I myself had to ring the bell to call them to hasten. In the sacred liturgy of the Church, time is to be treated with great reverence and punctuality.

"The Sacred Heart of Jesus, substantially united to the Word of God, is overwhelmed with love for us. His compassionate love is ever aflame on our behalf. He has chosen to love us with a human heart unconditionally, totally, and forever. Out of faithful and enduring love for us, God the Son Himself has come to shepherd us, to rescue us from our sins and to provide for us an earthly home in the Church and our lasting home with Him in the Heavenly Jerusalem."

You knew exactly what was happening in the Church. You knew all the players attempting to subvert the traditional teachings of the Church. You openly campaigned for the Papacy during the 2005 Conclave because you knew the liberals/progressives were campaigning also. You released Summorum Pontificum SPECIFICALLY because you understood that Tradition was the only way for the Church to survive. You created new Bishops and Cardinals who YOU KNEW were liberals/progressives and hated you, and yet you elevated them. You were supposed to usher in a new era for the Church, and you let it go. You left us to the wolves who are now devouring the sheep and have DESTROYED EVERYTHING you accomplished with the stroke of a pen. The "Hermenuic of Continuity" was an abject failure as it always was going to be. Now, the Synod on Synodality will be the final nail in the coffin that Cardinal Daneels and the rest of the Sankt Gallen Group dreamed of. You quit. You walked out on us. I loved you, Holy Father, and you just walked away to die in obscurity and despair. May God have mercy on your soul.

Continuing his catechetical series on the Dogmatic Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, Sacrosanctum Concilium, Pope Leo XIV reflects on the ecclesial dimension of the Liturgy, encouraging all members of the Church to pray the Divine Office: “Far from avoiding the world and its needs, all prayer, especially in the entire liturgy, is the essential dimension of our humanity. In our prayer, we unite ourselves with Jesus, to offer praise and thanksgiving, to God the Father, through the power of the Holy Spirit. In a particular way, Saint Paul VI expressed a longing that the Liturgy of the Hours, the daily public prayer of the church, would be prayed by all the members of Christ's body. In this way, we will allow the Holy Spirit to breathe into each thought and action, inspiring a deeper experience of the Paschal mystery. My brothers and sisters, may we find the spiritual nourishment necessary on an earthly pilgrimage by joining with the whole church, in her liturgical prayer, as we await the coming of Our Lord Jesus Christ.”

Continuing his catechetical series on the Dogmatic Constitution on the Sacred Liturgy, Sacrosanctum Concilium, Pope Leo XIV reflects on the liturgy through the lens of tradition and of development: “The Second Vatican Council recognized it was time to adjust some adaptable elements in the liturgy for the health and vitality of the Church, to fortify and rejuvenate Christians, and to foster unity and evangelize men and women. The Council affirmed that legitimate progress in the liturgy must also preserve sound tradition, and that certain elements of the liturgy can never change because they are divinely instituted. In a particular way, I encourage all priests to respect the texts and norms of the liturgy with openness, humility, trust in God’s greatness and with sincere fidelity to ecclesial communion.”

Vatican Tells OBEDIENT Traditionalists to Pound Sand The Vatican is DONE playing. In this week's Underground: Pope Leo completely ignores some thirty-five traditionalist groups from all over the world who, for nine months, have been requesting an audience with the pope. Instead of granting that audience, the Vatican refused permission for Bishop Schneider to offer the Latin Mass in St. Peter's Basilica for this year's Summorum Pontificum Pilgrimage. So much for the politics of appeasement! First, the Vatican excommunicated the SSPX and now they’re telling all the OBEDIENT and COMPLIANT traditional groups to pound sand. Why? Because the issue is not the issue. The issue is always the Revolution. Wanna know what's really going on? (HINT: It has a lot to do with Freemasonry and the Brotherhood of Man. Imagine that!) See you in the live chat tonight at 7 CST.

For nearly six years, the Salt Lake Temple has been surrounded by scaffolding that supported the sacred structure as it was renovated. This week, the scaffolding has been removed, marking another milestone. As the scaffolding comes down, consider the supports in our lives that steady and strengthen us: faith in God, family and the Savior's love. From April through October 2027, whether in person or virtually, all are invited to experience the Salt Lake Temple Celebration, including the opportunity to tour the interior of this house of the Lord.
