In 1988, St John Cantius church in Chicago had only 30 families. Today more than 2000 families are part of this parish because the priests of this church celebrate beautiful liturgies that reflect heavenly worship. Christendom College in Virginia has launched the Institute for Liturgical Formation designed to form those responsible for preparing and executing liturgies in parishes and dioceses. Over a three-year cycle, the Institute offers 12 courses in liturgical studies, held during two consecutive two-week sessions during July. Click the link in the comments for more information. The video reminds us that women should NOT: • Serve the Mass • Dance in church, especially before the altar • Have such a light and playful attitude in a sacred place where the Sacrifice of Calvary will be renewed. Our very own President Bola Ahmed Tinubu (Bola Ahmed Tinubu), who is a Muslim, in a warm handshake with the spirtual leader and father of the Catholic Church, His Holiness Pope Leo X1V at his inaugural mass in Rome. This is the first time in our country's history that a sitting President or Head of State has attended the inaugural mass of a new Pope. Surely there can be no greater expression of religious tolerance, mutual respect and bridge-building than this. It is a warm gesture that we can all be proud of. (FFK)

Moments earlier, he had delivered his powerful call to the youth of the Church: “Dear young people, today Europe and the whole world are looking to you to be new saints.” That was Pope Leo's charge to thousands gathered at the Portiuncula in Assisi. Celebrating Mass for 2,500 participants of the GO! Franciscan Youth Meeting, the Holy Father urged young people to follow the example of St. Francis and St. Clare, who embraced the Gospel sine glossa—"we could say, in its simplicity"—letting Christ completely reshape their lives.
