Care to explain? Fortnite Status

@FortniteStatus I don't get why they have the higher texture resolution and pre download streamed assets options, but still cap the texture quality?? Like let us choose to increase our file size by 50gb+ for the highest quality textures for everything.

@FortniteStatus likely just a compression issue. I don't really see any valid reasons for why Epic would need to intentionally lower the res on textures for the higher quality options.

@FortniteStatus id say they are doing this to keep the game file size relatively the same while thin client comes out

@FortniteStatus But there’s literally an option to download high quality textures in the launcher. It does nothing. This also happened back in may 2024 too, then got fixed

@FortniteStatus Wait yeah i hadn’t even noticed before For example Doom’s armor if you look closely is weirdly low quality
