Equalization will not be fixed by Carney. It will not be fixed by Poilievre. It will not be fixed by any party that needs the votes of provinces benefiting from Alberta’s losses. If Alberta wants a future built for Albertans, it has to be independent.

Mark Carney is destroying meritocracy in Canada. The federal government just admitted to me, in writing, that the public service in Ottawa does not hire based on "most qualified candidate." That's.... racist.

We do not tax wealth fairly in this country. People need to believe the economy isn't stacked against them to have hope in the future. Rising wealth inequality shatters that hope. It is fundamentally about fairness. The Chancellor must tax wealth properly in the Autumn Budget.

Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday called for broader diplomatic engagement with Iran, saying embassies do not amount to endorsement, one day after his Foreign Ministry told Iran International it was not considering reopening its embassy in Tehran. Speaking to reporters in Ottawa after deadly earthquakes in Venezuela, Carney said diplomatic presence does not amount to political approval. “Engagement is not endorsement,” he said, adding that embassies and consular services help governments respond faster in emergencies.

To add, many wealth tax proposals are for the 17,000 Brits with over £10 million, wealth taxes do not impact the 14 million Brits living in poverty, or the middle classes. I really do not understand why the working class and middle classes object to taxing rich people more 🤷‍♂️
