Sure, let’s absolutely talk Stelco. Start from the beginning though, when Harper sold them to US Steel.

Trump is USA first. Carney is a globalist. Trump's objective is to end China dumping steel via Canada. Carney's objective is blame Trump & do nothing about the dumping. Leader with objective of good deal for Canada: N/A.

A US Company Cleveland Cliffs invests into Canada purchasing Stelco, who was in creditor protection, agrees to rehabilitate the company. Do you think that US Company relied on USMCA & the Canadian government to stop dumping steel, which in turn create Canadian production demand -Of course. When Canada did not stop it that made the restructure of Stelco more difficult. Really think about the message Canada sent to those foreign companies that came to invest in Canada.

Reminds me of a story here 15 years ago, a small city next to us has a steel mill there. City was building a new bridge. The contractor who won the bid was found out they were using Chinese steel. It was cheaper to ship it across the ocean and 1/4 into the country then buying from 10 miles down the road. Tariffs are to protect countries jobs. Chinese monthly income is a 1/3 of what Canada or US monthly income. What kills countries is taxes, regulations, importing from countries who monthly salary is less the half what your salary is, and sending federal tax dollars to other countries then building your own country.

Yeah.....this isn't new information, it's not accurate, it hasn't been kept from us and it's incorrect. Stelco made a commitment, they didn't even avail themselves of help and they are owed a serious lawsuit. How about we focus on the real culprit or is the real culprit Canada?

Funny how the “union voice” gets cited only when it can be used against Carney. 🤔 Stelco’s union says tariffs are hurting demand and says the owner broke its 5-year commitment. Maybe tell the whole union story, not just the convenient bit. 🇨🇦

Canada was breaking USMCA. Stelco pointed that out months ago. Canada cannot be trusted.

Globalist are the enemy , Carney is looting the country right in our faces. People lose jobs and gives a billion dollars for Brookfield projects thru his wife.

Wow!!! The union worker told the truth. Canada allowing China to dump steel. This is what US asked to stop.

Now Carney’s threatening to sue Stelco. That will encourage businesses to go to Canada. . .

These media figures believe they are telling the truth when they say they're not lying. They're not lying. They're just NOT MENTIONING... And NOT MENTIONING is the same as lying. That's their M.O....That's they're wheelhouse. That's the charade.

Yes... Let's hear the whole story (or get the full picture) Tell the one about the Harper Conservatives decimating our steel and aluminium industries, stripping us down to parts, and selling everything that wasn't nailed down Hollowed us out, they did

It will get worse. Seems like securing the border and stopping fentanyl trafficking was an easier option.

You know, if a hockey team loses enuf games, they change goalies. Lose more games, trade players. Keep losing, fire the coach. Still losing? You eventually have to fire the general manager. Winning and losing begins at the top and all Canada keeps doing, is losing. Fire Carney🔥

The workers know how much steel they were producing and how much was going to the US.... And a five year old could tell you the numbers didn't MATCH.

If you allow China to dump steel and aluminum in Canada and then try to sell it to us as if it was Canada’s, we get to say we’re not interested. Also, this isn’t just a Canada thing. China was dumping other products through Vietnam and a couple others, and President Trump slapped higher tariffs on them too. 25% to start on Vietnam, way back in 2025. Ultimately, the no deal with Canada thing, because carney played politics and walked away, has led to America finding different sources for things we need. Including, building up our own steel mills. I don’t think the next deal is going to be as good for Canada, but it will be better for America. 🇺🇸

Carney was the only man besides China that fought with Trump! During that time of uncertainty, tons of companies had to close their doors. He has wasted so much time with his stupidity. The deal that he made with the EU was always there.

Same with the Aluminum industry in Canada . Novelis lays off 2/3’s of its employees and silence from the media , as if the liberals don’t want anyone to know their plan is working

Trump controls what he wants to control for the next 2 years +, and he has made it crystal clear he puts his country and his constituents first. Carney has spun Trump's insistence that we not act as the intermediary for foreign dumping as "orange man wants to control our industries". Nothing could be further from the truth - he wants us to clean them up, and police our own anti-dumping rules and regulations.

By the whole picture do you mean “When the federal government approved the $3.4-billion acquisition under the Investment Canada Act, it did so under strict, legally binding five-year undertakings.” That was in 2024 and the new owner signer it.
