Carrick's emphasis on diagonal relations -looks complex as its a tight space -but when you master space-time manipulation, its smooth and clean -repeatable idea-will get better with more attempts more attempts->more info for players ->better manipulation->better success(probably)

in fact, they tried it multiple times in a short span full video on their diagonal ideas and playing against momentum👇

please do report,if you find some one post my entire Youtube video here on X..I will be adding watermarks from the next video

The more i watch united this pre season the more i think he looks slightly like RDZ style. The difference probably is Carrick allowing the players to figure things out themselves

Please you guys should stop giving hull city analysis on our plays. They’ll neutralize us on opening match day

great video as always

The key point is right: it is a trainable, repeatable idea. Early on it can appear forced or overcrowded. With more match exposure the players gather better information about when to trigger the diagonal, how to time the third-man run, and how to occupy the resulting space. That feedback loop is how the concept moves from theoretical to reliable.

exactly

Could you explain space-time manipulation in a footballing context Manipulating space is straightforward enough. By time do you mean patterns that increase an individual’s time on the ball in certain scenarios?

yes,its simply manipulation of timing in any context..can manipulate timing of opposition jumps/delay their press..or attacker's speed of pass determines timing of his teammates..both space and time are intertwined..can't be seperated and its the basic essence of football

🤙🏾Thanks
