The Kanker Sisters grew on me a lot over time. They truly were/are the Edd’s ride or dies. They’d go to bat for their boys anytime 🙏🏾🖤 (Plus had a crush on Marie growing up but irrelevant 🌚)

Honestly, what hits harder is alot of Men have an Ed's Brother in their lives. A Man who is completely obsessed with power and control that he will override your space, constantly talk down to you, crash out on you over stupid shit, and hold favors over you. It's sad

I think the final episode did a perfect job showcasing that while your family may not always be there for you, as the saying goes “friends are there to help you” 🖤

I always wondered if Eddy knew his brother would react like this since the beginning of the final ep when they made the plan to try and link up with him. Like he knew what he was walking into but was too far in to back out. Maybe he hoped things would change when he got there

I actually always had the theory that Eddys elder brother was no longer in the neighbourhood because he was in jail. So I was not surprised he was an asshole.

Watching the series, I noticed that: -Eddy's brother room was condemned; their parents basically sealed the room. That's not what you do when your son goes to college. -Kevin and Rolf were visibly terrified whenever the guy was mentioned. Inmediately thougth: "He's a thug".

It’s interesting. They’re uncomfortable when Eddy is getting…pummeled. So I wonder if they write it off as “familial beat downs” or they’re sorta letting Eddy get what he deserves or general catharsis. When Edd gets hit, they realize Eddy’s brother is a dick and should hop in.

I like that theory. I think you can also see it as "Damn that's his brother, isn't he supposed to protect him?" which leaves them in shock. Once Edd gets hit, it has more impact because he has no relation to Eddy's brother, so it's like a "WTF" moment

Agree. Looking back, the Eds and the Cul-de-sac kids never saw eye to eye and a lot of the time got on each other's nerves, but that's any given relationship with friends. The main thing is they showed up when it mattered most, and that was in Eddy's time of need. 🖤

Eddy's brother was this legendary off-screen force Eddy mentioned all the time throughout the entire show so getting to finally meet the dude in the show's finale was a very cathartic payoff to years of buildup.

I like to imagine the cartoon logic was ed was strong because he was the biggest kid but dumb, but eddie's brother was bigger then him as the adult, but ed beat him by being smart, just by pulling one screw from that door to send it flying. I especially love that knowing look.

Ed: showed intelligence by releasing the door that knocks out Eddy's brother. Edd: showed courage by standing up to Eddy's brother. Eddy: showed heart by confessing his penchent for scams were due to a desire to be liked and apologizing for past sins

I tried to watch this movie a year ago but my viewing was cut short when I heard rustling and came to the unfortunate conclusion that there was a rat in my bedroom, so I may never actually watch it due to lingering trauma.

@RedHotBlaziken This is without a doubt the perfect end to a cartoon. Everything all built up this and the payoff was beautiful. After all those years, the eds are fully accepted by everyone in the culdesac

It genuinely sucks I can't find a physical copy of this movie. How are they gonna release a complete boxset of the series without Big Picture Show?
