The only one to top this is Sinbad. Just because, by the time that guy finished unpacking, they were going home and he had to immediately pack up again

This scene still cracks me up because Elizabeth was really a problem. 🤣

the best part is when Barbosa looks at her ass in confusion after she pulls out the blunderbuss 😂

Slightly off topic but I love how Barbossa and Elizabeth went from enemies in the first movie to a kind of pirate teacher and apprentice in this movie.

The best part is that even Barbossa was surprised

One of the best ones. I also love the one in the cartoon Sinbad.

MY PIRATE KING

EXACTLY 🙂↕️

nothing but respect for my president, Pirate King Elizabeth Swan Turner

bonus points if they pause, then reluctantly pull out one last lil doohickey extra bonus points if they still managed to get smth through after all that

Barbossa’s little grin at the end always gets me. 😂

the whole sequence in The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug where the elf just keeps finding daggers on Fili

love this trope but it always bugs me whenever they do this and the character never uses all the weapons, is there any example of a character actually using all their shit when this trope also happens?

Ironically they ripped off sinbad legend of the 7 seas

My favorite one is Chazz Palminteri in "Oscar". "It's like disarming Germany..."

I love how much she emulates Jack in this movie

I know this trope: Extended Disarming! There are plenty of hilarious moments of characters pulling out an absurdly large amount of weapons. Wednesday Addams even once did this in an episode of "Wednesday". Thanks for sharing!

i just love how sweaty and mucky everything looked in these movies.

I like this trope, I just feel this was a very Disney-esque execution of the trend. Its a bit much. My favorite is in Sahara.

Love Barbossa's reaction to Elizabeth's big gun she pulled from behind "Where she was keeping that one?".

I’ve never seen a pirate stan account before

It's a stupid trope but in such a fun and ridiculous way. XD Like, no way they're gonna be able to fight with all that strapped onto them or be able to hand them out in all the chaos of a fight. XD

You just know that if it had been Jack Sparrow pulling all that out, Barbossa would have had no reaction beyond mild annoyance.

In this case someone who shouldn't really be that great at using them, as she had no training or familiarity prior to the first movie.

that gun she pulls out the back kills me, how tf were you walking around like that 😭

LMAOOO

You made a post just to quote tweet it yourself for engagements.. get a fucking life

It is ridiculous but it's also still damn funny 😂 It's a fun trope, it's always amusing to see just what obscene beast they pull from the unexpected place

There's this scene in The Big Easy with John Goodman

Barbossa being a proud dad elevates it from good to perfection

Best example of it I fear

This and Sinbad: Legend Of The Seven Seas.

I like it too

Iconic scene.

A classic

The guy who plays barbossa is the best part of these movies. He is delightful in every single scene he’s in.
