Well.... I dont blame Prince. Prince liked his music untouched. He believe artists should not sample and find their own without riding on someone else's creation. Look at whats happening now with classic songs. Trash. I support Prince doing this. Lets be honest....Sampling was only good when James Brown, Isleys and Earth wind and Fire said Yes. Prince did let people use his music. MC Hammer used When Doves Cry for his song Pray. TLC redid If I Was Your Girlfriend. There's been others. He was just very selective.

Prince damaged his legacy by being a control freak about his music and resisting the internet. So many artists wanted to sample him, collaborate with him, and so many fans wanted to listen to his music on YouTube but he wouldn’t let it happen. You should consider the source, Case sounds ignorant. Prince cleared dozens of songs for rappers if he didn’t clear it he obviously didn’t like the song and that’s his prerogative. Google Prince rap sample songs
