Perfect thrift store find

My parents got me an Casio MT-40 for Christmas when I was in grade school and it changed my life! Little did I know, someone was down in Jamaica creating classic Reggae hits with this same cheap keyboard.

I wanted one of those so bad when I was 12. And one of these too.

I had one! I think my friends and I totally burnt out the sampling function. 🤣🤣🤣

I had one and I'm pretty sure Stevie Wonder used it in Don't Drive Drunk. start around 1:25

This was a HUGE gadget as it allowed we needs to do what Ferris Bueller did with his super high end voice sampling synth.

Maaaaan this was everything back in the day. Had as a child. First thing I ever had that could sample. As a teenager I discovered if you yanked out the input you could control the sample time and make seamless loops. Great times.

Circuit-bend it, STAT!

I loved my sk-1. One of the best toys I had growing up.
