@neha2180 @talk2anuradha The caste census is merely a tool for divisive and diversionary politics. It consistently emphasizes caste, sidelining individuals from the general category and contributing to their suppression across the country.

A census is necessary, but what should it focus on? -> How many families have benefited from caste-based reservations, and for how many generations? -> How many castes have received benefits from caste-based reservations? -> What is the representation of reserved castes in government jobs? -> How many reserved castes still remain marginalized? -> Which caste has the highest involvement in criminal activities? -> Which caste contributes the most in taxes?

@neha2180 @talk2anuradha It's a fact, the GCs, like yours truly, are rapidly moving out not just because of the opportunities being cannibalised by reservations but also for the fear of the fate of their kids when they grow up. If you are GC in India and not very rich, then it's game over.
