The only time you shave a cat is for medical reasons. I have a long haired retard who needs his hind quarter hair TRIMMED not shaved. The fur on the bottom of his paws gets shaved or he can't stop on the hardwood and barrel rolls whenever he tries to stop.

@sep16000 Fur is pride of their protection. From temperature, shielding from fights with other animals and for comfort. I don’t believe that this is in the best interest of the cat, more like the owners who want to be amused.
