Cat7, 7a and cat 8 Can optionally use the GG45 connector, but it is generally irrelevant. The category rating applies to the rejection of the cable, not the connector. Both cables ARE cat 7.

no, the connector is part of the standard for CAT7. this is basic stuff that anyone can find by looking at, say, wikipedia.

Stop using CAT7. You will have subtle issues with it. CAT7 is not an IEEE standard; it is considered a proprietary design and is not officially recognized by the IEEE.
