I don't know why it matters, call the damn pass interference.

It’s a fucking catch the ball dosent move once he pins it’s against the helmet

as other commenter said, catch and dpi.

Yes to pass interference. My take is it's a catch. The ball did hit the ground, but he had control by then and the ground was not aiding in keeping control. If allowed, one of the best catches I have seen in my 60 years as a football fan.

not a catch but looked like Pass Interference pulling that arm

Catch.

Ground clearly helped him control the ball. This one is tough though because doesn’t really move

It was a catch, and it was also blatant DPI.

2nd year in a row, the refs have taken away an amazing Oregon catch. And this was even better than E Stew's against Michigan.

Glad every can agree it was a catch. And a phenomenal one

If you follow the exact letter of all the rules it shouldn’t be a catch, but I wish there was a world where that gets to be overturned bc it was sick

It’s either a catch, or pass interference for holding the WR’s left arm with BOTH HANDS… but magically, they didn’t call either one correctly! 😂

either way ... 100% Interference - Defense

PI if anything also

No catch but like thats still a fucking catch, a boring/by the books ref following the rules says no catch, a chill ref whos down for the entertainment of the fans says its a catch

Corner holds his other arm the whole time should have been holding

Catch. If he doesn’t maintain control with his fingers there, that ball is bouncing away when it hits the ground. With that kind of force, one-handed, the ground isn’t helping you catch it, only not catch it.

Catch.. ball doesn’t move after it hits the ground. Simple

Defender was yanking on his left arm. Should be Interference if not a catch. With both hands it would have been a catch. I'm a Udub fan, that was amazing.

I think that slight movement makes it a no catch. But hell of an effort.

Well anyone that is a receiver or knows what it takes to catch a football would say it is. According to the rules to justify and define a catch says it isn't. Ref should have made their own judgement and called it a catch. (All refs should be required to play at least HS ball)

That’s a catch! He maintained control all through, ball did not move out of his grip through contact with the ground. Yes, the ball can touch the ground as look as you have control and it doesn’t get dislodged.

Should be a moot point. Defender’s got a hold of his other arm the entire time, is that not interference?

It’s a catch & I don’t even care about football anymore!!! Stupid

He had control before it touched the ground, ground can not cause a fumble.

Does it matter? It’s Pass Interference.

Ball hit the ground. Not a catch at any level

That’s a catch. Clearly has control of the ball. Doesn’t even move from his hands when it hits the ground. That’s the problem tho, anything that touches the ground they are calling incomplete.

First off PI. The defense isn’t making a play on the ball. Either way the yards stay when the “catch” took place. I don’t know the wording on the rules but it looks like he had control with it against his helmet before it hits the ground. I don’t know if that is allowed though.

Catch

Looks like a catch to me. Ball doesn’t move wow

Would feel wrong to not award this a catch. I hate how some of the rules in today’s game (pro and college) sometimes take away from incredible catches.

no way the ground would not have popped that out if he didn't have control. Unbelievable finger strength

not a catch, this angle shows it, watch the thumb and pinky, still a hell of a play either way
