So, toxic misogyny is the topic of the week, thanks to the Netflix show Adolescence. It’s even been discussed in Parliament, with plans to show it in schools as an educational resource. Meanwhile, myself and a whole bunch of other TERFs are sitting here thinking—okay, great, but would anyone like to address the toxic misogyny that insists a woman is just the feeling in a man’s head? No? How about the toxic misogyny that reduces us to "bleeders," "menstruators," and "gestational carriers"? Still no takers? Alright, then. What about the toxic misogyny in the media, where we’re expected to nod along when we see phrases like "her penis" printed with a straight face? Anyone? No? Fine. How about we talk about the toxic misogyny of masked men in balaclavas, setting off smoke bombs and hunting down women’s meetings in the streets? Men who are openly trying to intimidate and silence women for daring to gather and speak? And what about the toxic misogyny of men mocking us through drag—where our bodies and experiences are reduced to a punchline? Where sexist caricatures of women are paraded as entertainment, yet we’re told to stay silent? Is any of this worth addressing? Probably not, not when our government support it.

December 16, 2016. Obama does an hour long interview with NPR. The entire interview is stunning for a few reasons. 1. Almost everything Obama says is in direct contradiction to the intelligence report on the election that he had just recently received. The majority of this interview was spent discussing Russia's election interference to help Trump. We now know that Obama had just received a report informing him that did not happen. 2. It was extremely obvious throughout the entire interview that Obama was lying and that he knew the significance of what he was doing. 3. Obama finished the interview, left and returned to talk about a new "Intelligence Assessment" that would be dropping before Trump's inauguration. He was priming the media to be on the look out for the bogus report he had just asked for. It's impossible to overstate the magnitude of what Obama was doing during this interview. And of course he turned to NPR to help him do his dirty work.

Charlie had Ben Shapiro on his show the DAY BEFORE HE WAS KILLED. He joked with Ben in the clip below about Jewish conspiracies: “You Jews own the media, Ben…as you can tell by all the wonderful headlines you guys get!” It was a great exchange. Charlie asked Ben about many of the accusations against Israel and let him give rebuttals. Charlie wanted to hash out rational sides of the Israel debate within MAGA (although he clarified in this interview that the pro-Hamas team wasn’t rational or welcome). When you watch this final interview, you can see that Charlie was open about criticisms of Israel. They were, however, tempered by his support for Israel, and he thought Jewish conspiracies were foolish. As ever, Charlie was fair. Nobody was preventing him from bringing up these questions, and Ben answered them well. It was a friendly exchange. It was also clear that Charlie chose Ben to give the rebuttal bc he BOTH wanted the questions to be asked AND a competent pro-Israel defense to be heard.
