catching mewtwo in pokemon red/blue

Its crazy to me how ugly this game was but still how much better it is compared to the new pokemon games. The nostalgic sounds after catching the pokemon just took me back. Classic

I remember the first time I did this it was so incredible! I immediately went back to steamroll the elite 4 like 7 times with Mewtwo 😂

I remember trying and failing for a long time to catch this Mewtwo as a kid. I asked my brother to help and he threw a great ball at the start of the fight and caught it immediately.

Fun fact: Because of the weird way the game is programmed, if you can put it to sleep, you can just throw Great Balls at full health for the highest chance of catching it.

I’m still in shock about what they managed to accomplish 30 years ago. This game is a master piece. No wander original files are worth so much

Any pokeball can act as a master ball if you press and hold (down + B) when you throw a pokeball

I always went for the option of Freezing Mewtwo ASAP because once he's frozen you can chip at away at his HP slowly and he can't BREAK OUT of the ICE ever at all. Being Frozen cripples Mewtwo, being asleep he can recover from and fight back.

In “Let’s Go Pikachu” I did a practice throw of an ultra ball before trying with a master ball, and the ultra ball caught him first try. I lmao so hard 🤣
