Jihoon's message from a year ago read by Shinyu 🪼 2501022, Wednesday I feel like I've finally come full circle to where it all started after running nonstop. the result led me to this meaningful moment where I get to live streaming with 42s happily. back when I was a trainee, I had a lot of dreams. ABC's Trevor Ault predicts more Minneapolis protesters will start bringing guns to their confrontations with CBP and ICE and possible use against the agents, claiming fear of their safety... They feel like they have a right to continue pushing back and they feel like it has been working, but they're especially upset because they feel like ICE has been everywhere. When I got to town, my team who had already been here said don't rent a dark SUV. People will assume you are a federal agent b/c they're all over the place and people will not be happy. Since I’m already here in the Outro: Tear hole and have been for about 12 hours now. I may as well use this opportunity to point out one of the very distinct reasons Outro: Tear evokes such visceral reactions from all us who hear it. The meaning behind it is defintely one of the reasons. But another is the structure of the song itself. Outro: Tear is not one song with 3 verses saying the same thing. It’s 3 different reactions changing hands as the song moves from Namjoon to Yoongi to Hoseok. And along with the lyrics, the melody is doing the same thing. It’s weaving from Namjoon’s conflict to Yoongi’s despair to Hoseok’s fear. It’s 3 different reactions in response to the same inevitable end. Namjoon’s reaction being internal interrogation of his self. His relationship with identity has always been threaded through questions of sincerity. Kim Namjoon vs RM. Leader vs person. The person carrying everybody versus the person who is also exhausted and frightened and occasionally has absolutely no idea what he’s doing. It’s inward conflict. Was it real? Was the goodbye always inevitable because of his own insincerity him? Then yoongi comes in with his verse that says, fine. Destroy it. His reaction is pure rage. And it’s not rage at the people who are important to him. No. It’s rage at the fact it has come to this. So he wants it all scorched. Bc if all of it has to go, then he wants it gone completely. No lingering. No halves. No hope. And then Hoseok’s verse. His whole verse is grappling with fear through his words. But it’s also fear as a physiological language. It’s one of the truly unique things about his verse. How the melody literally starts with hard breaths. You can hear it in the song. Gasping. Forcing. Almost choking. And then his flow breaks out of its contained rhythm. He’s panicking. He’s fearful bc “ending” was always just a concept. But now it’s here in present time. He spends the final verse driving his body and the song towards a state that feels increasingly unsustainable. The breaths are shorter, his delivery gets more frantic, rhythm breaking out of confinement, and then his repetitions like geol geol geol and byeong byeong byeong lose structure within the song and becomes a fixation almost. So now you as the listener who has been experiencing that transition from conflict to rage and despair and now to fear and panic, you are naturally expecting a sort of resolve. But it doesn’t happen. What does happen is the song quite literally cuts. The composition of the flow itself finally does what it’s meant to do. It ends without allowing for a resolve. That part. That abrupt end. That is why Outro: Tear has that reaction on us all. Because the very last thing you experience with the song is an interruption. All of that confusion and pain and rage and fear carries with you into Hoseok’s verse where as the panic crescendos, you expect him to arrive emotionally somewhere. But he doesn’t. He is still inside the panic when the song takes him away from you. So now you’re the one left holding all of that with you. That’s what’s almost cruel about the song itself. There’s no completion. Hoseok’s verse just escalates and escalates and then cuts. That’s it. You don’t get closure. You don’t get the emotional luxury of watching the pain taper away. The songs just rips from you.

I'm using macOS for more than 14 years now, in a single laptop screen setup with lots of windows open, and I'm using macOS spaces everyday to organize my windows. Switching between spaces is easy: I hit CTRL+arrow left/right, it takes no time. What takes time however, is this macOS-native transition animation that takes a bit less than 1 second, for every single space switch. I've checked everywhere in macOS settings, asked friends with the same problem, and there's just no setting to disable this effect (even with Reduced Motion ON in Accessibility settings). This UX choice from Apple alone costs me days of my time every year, as I'm working non-stop on my SaaS business for 10h a day 5-6 days a week (Crisp for those who know about it!). I calculated that with my daily use of macOS spaces, in 6 months I'd perform 100,000 switches, which costs me the same in seconds waiting for the transition to complete. This represents almost 28 hours waiting. In 1 year, I'd have lost 2.4 days just... waiting! The Hack Fortunately, some other open-source projects discovered a hack not so long ago, which allows disabling the transition when switching spaces: it involves sending to the system a "fake" trackpad left/right swipe gesture that's faster than what's expected (faster than what a human can input via the Macbook's trackpad). Above some threshold, macOS just perform the space switch with absolutely no transition. A friend of mine, Yaël 🛸, made a quick prototype in Objective-C, and it magically worked! The Solution So, I asked my friend if we could make it a proper macOS app together, in a beautiful minimalist package, and he said yes! So, we launched Space Rabbit, a tiny 2MB fully native macOS app, that allows you to optimize macOS spaces for productivity! Space Rabbit is a full rewrite of the initial prototype in modern Swift, with a tray menu bar to configure the app, and a settings window, in a macOS app packaging. Space Rabbit can be downloaded right here: We just released V2 of the app last week, fixing a ton of little bugs, especially for dual screen setups. It's actively maintained to this day as it's my daily driver. The app is open-source: and will always be free, as it's helping improve our productivity in our daily Web Dev tasks for our main businesses. We'll be happy to implement more features from user requests, if you find this app useful and use it daily!

The Night Legends Left Their Egos at the Door On the night of January 28, 1985, at A&M Studios in Los Angeles, a handwritten sign was placed outside the recording studio: “Check your ego at the door.” No one could have known that those few simple words would become the opening line to one of the most memorable moments in music history. Walking through that door were artists who could fill virtually any stage on their own: Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder, Tina Turner, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Diana Ross, Ray Charles, and dozens of other leading names. They were accustomed to spotlights, roaring crowds, and being the center of attention. But that night, there was no single star. No red carpet. No private stage. No distance between the legends. They stood side by side, wearing headphones, holding sheets of lyrics, and waiting for their turn. These were artists who were used to thousands of people listening to them. Now, they had to listen to one another. Perhaps that was the most remarkable thing about that recording session. When Fame Knows How to Step Aside We Are the World was created during a devastating famine in Ethiopia, with the goal of raising money for humanitarian relief. Every artist involved had already achieved success and earned a place in music history. They did not need another hit to prove who they were. I had the thrill of a lifetime getting to sing backup for Monte Warden at the Grand Ole Opry on Saturday. I feel like I've been floating for days. My husband and I have been huge fans of Monte -- an absolute Texas legend -- for years. He has two great bands -- the Wagoneers and The Dangerous Few. We've seen both at their Austin residencies (at the famous Broken Spoke and Parker Jazz Club, respectively) and in other locales. I got to be backstage last year when he performed solo at the Opry. It's weird to have an inanimate object give off such an energy as the Opry stage does. Everyone who matters has sung from there and you can totally feel that. The crowd on Saturday night was AWESOME. They were there to have fun and be entertained and had a great energy also. It was the anniversary of Elvis's death so Monte sang the two songs Elvis performed at the Opry in 1954 -- Blue Moon of Kentucky and That's All Right. Elvis received a famously tough reception, with the crowd thinking he was way too rock n' roll for a country music stage. As he left the stage, one guy told him he should probably just go back to Memphis and keep driving a truck. He would never perform there again. Monte told the crowd he hoped for a better reception and boy did they provide. Monte also performed a spiritual he wrote with his beautiful wife Brandi (who also sang BGV and is one of my favorite people on earth) called Steadfast Love. And we got to sing back up on that as well. Legends T. Graham Brown and Don Schlitz played that night as did newer artists Jordan Davis and Kylie Morgan -- it was so fun to meet them and watch them from backstage. Also this absolutely phenomenal bluegrass kid named Wyatt Ellis. We got ready in Porter Wagoner's old dressing room, decorated with photos of his career and some of his famous garb. Monte joked that night to the crowd that if you ever get the opportunity to perform at the Opry, you should do so. I COULD NOT agree more. Here's a bit of us singing Steadfast Love.

The last time we slowed down, they quietly creeped into our villages and corrupted/deceived more farmers and got them on their side. Before we said Jack, their products weee everywhere, which then gave them the impetus to buy some influencers for their PR, which we have now shut down. If we slow down again, by the time we realize it, every single food our people eat in Nigeria will be GMOs. Make it a point of duty to post on GMOs every week if you can’t do it everyday. We must not let them rest. Those of you who can take action - simple action of re-educating farmers in your communities, please do it. We also need to start buying or mustering up organic seeds wherever they may be found. We need to start storing and preserving or planting them. I’ve been talking about this because the end game is to outlaw the use of organic seeds, if we let them. If we do a good job with our farmers reorientation program across Nigeria, there will eventually be farmlands we need to destroy completely with the consent of the farmers who had been deceived and reorientated. If we know such farmers, we can help them transition. Some farmer in Northern Nigeria must have been deceived into growing the so called “water melon” in this video. They were not imported. If we slow down again, by the time we realize it, every single food our people eat in Nigeria will be GMOs. Make it a point of duty to post on GMOs every week if you can’t do it everyday. We must not let them rest. Those of you who can take action - simple action of re-educating farmers in your communities, please do it. We also need to start buying or mustering up organic seeds wherever they may be found. We need to start storing and preserving or planting them. I’ve been talking about this because the end game is to outlaw the use of organic seeds, if we let them. If we do a good job with our farmers reorientation program across Nigeria, there will eventually be farmlands we need to destroy completely with the consent of the farmers who had been deceived and reorientated. If we know such farmers, we can help them transition. Some farmer in Northern Nigeria must have been deceived into growing the so called “water melon” in this video. They were not imported. This is a fascinating video that I think will surprise a lot of people because it highlights the extent to which the political scene evolved in France. Le Pen - the father - was actually very pro-Iran and pro-Palestinian. He also said he "breathed a huge sigh of relief" that Bush didn't attack Iran. On Gaza (there was yet another Gaza conflict in 2009) he said he "was shocked to see that the great silence of world opinion, and even of Arab and Muslim opinion, when this small country was crushed," describing it as "a real concentration camp." Fair disclaimer: these views had nothing to do with anything even resembling a progressive embrace of Muslims or multiculturalism. The man was virulently anti-immigration and hostile to multiculturalism at home. It's hard to understand today because hating foreigners at home now somehow requires hating them abroad too - but back then, "Muslims out of France, long live Iran" could make sense. And funnily, in France and much of the West, Jean-Marie Le Pen's foreign policy views (not the domestic ones) are now firmly associated with the far left. Heck in France's case they're too extreme for even Mélenchon's LFI party to embrace: even they are calling Iran a "theocratic and predatory regime", and are siding with the protesters ( As for Le Pen's party today, led by his daughter, these views are basically everything they now stand AGAINST: today they're firmly pro-Israel, framing it as a civilizational ally against Islamism. In that story (link below), we showed video of a light flashing on the inside of Hoodie’s left wrist while walking through the Rumsey Court alley behind the RNC. Some critics claimed it was probably just a light reflection off a regular watch or other jewelry flashing under the camera’s nighttime infrared function. But … no. I have come into possession of the FBI “Receipt of Property” form listing the items seized and collected as evidence from Brian Cole Jr’s family home. One of those items seized (image below) was Brian’s mother’s “Apple Watch with red band.” Taken from her bedroom by the FBI. This action strongly suggests the FBI knew Hoodie was wearing a smartwatch. As we previously reported, Brian has never owned or worn a watch of any kind. Family photos from many years back verify this. He is never seen wearing a watch or any type of jewelry. Family members all validate this particular peculiarity of Brian’s many unique peculiarities. (From the same property receipt, we can see the FBI also seized a pair of dark sunglasses from their home. Something else Brian has never owned or worn. Likely because of his poor eyesight and severe eyeglass prescription. But … that’s another story, coming later.) Not only do U.S. Department of Justice and the FBI want us to believe that Brian—who never wore a watch of any kind—not only kiped his mother’s watch on January 5, 2021, but also learned how to use it as a phone during that 45-minute b*mb-placement stroll. The joint Loudermilk–Massie report released in early January 2025, titled “Four Years Later: Examining the State of the Investigation into the RNC and DNC Pipe Bombs,” provided us with a very interesting revelation. The report states: “During its investigation, the FBI identified at least five different instances in which security camera footage revealed the suspect appearing to use a cellular device.” Note the wording: "a cellular device." Not a "phone" or "cell phone." Hoodie is never seen raising a phone to their ear. The first time Hoodie sits at the DNC bench, we do see him/her remove a phone from the back right pant pocket and look at the screen while holding it in their lap. Not talking directly into the phone. Ever. But we do see five different instances when Hoodie raises the left wrist to their masked face in a manner that appears to indicate they are speaking into the smartwatch we saw flashing in that Rumsey Court video. Kim Sung-soo, Culture critic: The first trial verdict has been delivered. The first-instance ruling was a narrow and limited judgment, confined strictly within the wording of the contract itself. However, in the appellate court, the second trial, the approach is different. It does not rely solely on the contract’s text. The appellate court also examines legal principles, and within those principles, issues such as human rights that must be interpreted in conjunction. So, personally, I believe that in order to fully address this human rights issue, a constitutional petition is necessary… to examine whether the standard exclusive contract truly aligns with the Constitution. As it currently stands, the so-called “standard contract” is essentially a mock contract. It heavily reflects the company’s interests, while the artist’s position is barely represented. When the first standard contract was created, large entertainment companies, including SM, were actively involved and able to propose detailed input on its wording. However, individual idols had no real channel to express their opinions. At best, only a few idols who were already experiencing disadvantages managed to submit their feedback two or three months later, and even those limited opinions were all that ended up being reflected. This is precisely why a labor union or a proper artists’ agency system is necessary. Contracts should be written on the basis of equal relationships between the parties, and this is especially true for standard contracts. A “standard contract” should serve as a model that balances the interests of both sides, built through thorough study and negotiation between the concerned groups. But right now, the Ministry of Culture is operating entirely under the influence of those who hold the power. If you’re a government official at the Ministry of Culture and want to keep your position for a long time, whose interests do you think you’d cater to? The ordinary citizens who file complaints through the national petition system? Of course not... they don’t fear those people. To be blunt, what can an individual citizen do alone? That’s why associations or unions need to exist, only then will those in power start to listen. That’s exactly why webtoon artists formed a labor union. Their status as workers is much clearer. But idol trainees are different, who would even recognize them as “workers”? Because of that, idol trainees’ voices can’t be heard, and the result is a deeply one-sided standard contract. So, at the very least, experts who understand these structural issues need to be part of the discussion. But people like Kim Sung-soo weren’t even included. Then who can we say were the “experts” involved? If the people at the table are managers currently working in the field, do you think they’ll advocate for trainees’ rights? Of course not! When they negotiate their own contracts, they’ll naturally prioritize their own advantage. When a framework like this is created, if a politician or leader doesn’t fully understand the situation, it becomes all too easy to deceive that leader. What we’re trying to do now is prevent that kind of deception from happening again. In the appeal (second trial), it must be clearly demonstrated that the so-called “standard contract,” which was used as the basis for the first ruling, contains numerous toxic clauses, and that these clauses have in fact become the foundation for human-rights violations. On that basis, we must argue that NewJeans’ right to freedom should be recognized and protected. Right now, when you look at what’s being said about NewJeans, HYBE is spreading serious lies. It’s practically fraudulent. They claim, “We’re preparing everything after Min Hee-jin. Just like before, we’ll give NewJeans full support so they can focus entirely on their work... composers, choreographers, curators, everything.” But in reality, that’s nothing more than a façade. A repetition of the same deceptive pattern that led to this situation in the first place. They say things like, “We’ll give you all the support you need so you can focus entirely on your work. We’ve already prepared everything... composers, choreographers, curators, all of it. We’ve gathered the best creators in Korea, the best production teams in the world. So don’t worry and just come back.” That’s the nonsense they’re spouting. But think about it... how can someone who doesn’t even understand NewJeans’ concept possibly create work that preserves what makes NewJeans unique? What we’re dealing with here is art... popular art, yes, but still art. Even though it’s sold commercially as a product, that product’s concept and creativity are absolutely essential. Without a clear and distinctive creative identity, you die in this industry. Each individual song might be good... in fact, in K-pop, there are hardly any “bad songs.” But what matters isn’t just whether a song is good... it’s whether the concept and artistry are cohesive, fresh, and differentiated. Yet so many people say things like, “That song’s weak,” or “It doesn’t suit my taste,” as if their personal preference determines artistic quality. That’s not understanding art! That’s just surface-level criticism. But if you really evaluate it objectively, that’s not because the songs themselves are weak. It’s because the artists can’t fully embody them, or because the songs don’t fit their concept or identity. That’s why it doesn’t work. Take, for example, Cho Yong-pil, the legendary “King of Singers.” He once sang “Because I Loved You” because he truly loved that song. You’d think that if Cho Yong-pil sang it, it would automatically be a hit, right? But it wasn’, the version that succeeded was Yoo Jae-ha’s. Do you know why? Cho Yong-pil admired that song deeply, but his vocal style, that vibrato, that forward, resonant tone, simply didn’t suit the song. This is what people need to understand. Does Minister Choi Il-young at the Ministry of Culture even grasp something like that? Let’s put it bluntly: when Samsung Electronics produces high-yield semiconductors, they’ll sell anywhere. If the yield rate is high and performance is good, that’s all that matters. But art doesn’t work that way. Only the person who can truly embody and interpret the work can make it shine to its fullest. That’s why Andrew Lloyd Webber searched so meticulously for the actor who could produce the exact sound he wanted for The Phantom of the Opera. It’s not just about technical skill, it’s about artistic compatibility and interpretation. He even married her. Why do you think that was... because he was a playboy? No. It was because of artistic connection and understanding. So, to sum it up: NewJeans must break free from HYBE. If they continue working with the people HYBE is currently talking about, the essence and identity of NewJeans will disappear. NewJeans will become ordinary. And when that happens, people will say, “See? NewJeans wasted over a year being gaslighted during such a critical time, and now they’ve missed their moment. Serves them right.” HYBE will spread that narrative through their underlings, shaping public opinion in their favor. After that, they’ll probably go on to file a claim for damages, following the same predictable playbook. Are we just supposed to stand by and watch this happen? It’s infuriating. That’s why associations or unions need to exist, only then will those in power start to listen. That’s exactly why webtoon artists formed a labor union. Their status as workers is much clearer. But idol trainees are different, who would even recognize them as “workers”? Because of that, idol trainees’ voices can’t be heard, and the result is a deeply one-sided standard contract. So, at the very least, experts who understand these structural issues need to be part of the discussion. But people like Kim Sung-soo weren’t even included. So don’t worry and just come back.” That’s the nonsense they’re spouting. But think about it... how can someone who doesn’t even understand NewJeans’ concept possibly create work that preserves what makes NewJeans unique? What we’re dealing with here is art... popular art, yes, but still art. Even though it’s sold commercially as a product, that product’s concept and creativity are absolutely essential. Without a clear and distinctive creative identity, you die in this industry. Each individual song might be good... in fact, in K-pop, there are hardly any “bad songs.” But what matters isn’t just whether a song is good... it’s whether the concept and artistry are cohesive, fresh, and differentiated. Yet so many people say things like, “That song’s weak,” or “It doesn’t suit my taste,” as if their personal preference determines artistic quality. That’s not understanding art! That’s just surface-level criticism. But if you really evaluate it objectively, that’s not because the songs themselves are weak. It’s because the artists can’t fully embody them, or because the songs don’t fit their concept or identity. That’s why it doesn’t work. Take, for example, Cho Yong-pil, the legendary “King of Singers.” He once sang “Because I Loved You” because he truly loved that song. You’d think that if Cho Yong-pil sang it, it would automatically be a hit, right? But it wasn’, the version that succeeded was Yoo Jae-ha’s. Do you know why? Cho Yong-pil admired that song deeply, but his vocal style, that vibrato, that forward, resonant tone, simply didn’t suit the song. This is what people need to understand. Does Minister Choi Il-young at the Ministry of Culture even grasp something like that? Let’s put it bluntly: when Samsung Electronics produces high-yield semiconductors, they’ll sell anywhere. If the yield rate is high and performance is good, that’s all that matters. But art doesn’t work that way. Only the person who can truly embody and interpret the work can make it shine to its fullest. That’s why Andrew Lloyd Webber searched so meticulously for the actor who could produce the exact sound he wanted for The Phantom of the Opera. It’s not just about technical skill, it’s about artistic compatibility and interpretation. He even married her. Why do you think that was... because he was a playboy? No. It was because of artistic connection and understanding. So, to sum it up: NewJeans must break free from HYBE. If they continue working with the people HYBE is currently talking about, the essence and identity of NewJeans will disappear. NewJeans will become ordinary. I've been thinking about what to say since the ending of the stream but I still have no words So I'll just let my heart guide my words As many as you know due to past tweets I've followed Sinder since even before she was Sinder back on her ASMR channel Tashi.mp3 Her videos helped me fall asleep at nights where my world was falling apart Even tho I couldn't watch every stream and most of the time I only could watch her tweets I always liked them and retweet them I couldn't buy merch or subscribe to her twitch like other pyro pups so that's the only way I had to show my support I once left her a reply with an old account of mine telling her that she has a bright future ahead of her And even with everything that has happened I still believe in those words I said Sinder is really strong and not only one of my oshis but also one of my role models, her kindness and gentle heart have inspired me into becoming the person I am today, I'm still far from being the best version of myself, there's still a lot more work that I need to do before I get to that point But I think that now I'm on the right path When all this started 5 months ago I made a promise to myself That If she doesn't give up on her dreams, then I would work harder than ever to achieve mine Today it's proof of that promise Sinder never gave up And even tho there's still a long road ahead until I can finally say that I achieved my dreams With each passing day I feel that I'm getting closer Even if it's just by millimeters I know most of you may have questions about me, like "Who are you?"
