If it turns out that over .017% of public schoolchildren are victims of sexual abuse, we have a national crisis. If it’s anywhere near 17% then the entire public school system requires immediate dismantling as it’s presently creating incalculable harm.

I worked in WA State public schools for 3 years in the 90’s. I left after staff sexually abusing children were simply moved to another school. They had it ON CAMERA. I was escorted out of the building for reporting to City Council, CPS, and Police. I was the one blackballed.

This is systemic collapse. When the people paid to protect kids are the ones they need protection from, the "social contract" is dead. If these numbers are real, the silence from the mainstream media is a betrayal.

Teachers’ unions protect and care only about the due paying teachers, not the students. It’s almost impossible for districts to get rid of teachers once they get tenure, which is only 5 years in many districts. 😡

I remember when libs would be hauling out every report of clergy abusing kids and rightly so, but why crickets when it comes to teachers? No 60 minutes exposé, no late night jokes about teachers, no CNN segments. 🤔
