I noticed something was missing at the Catholics for Catholics 🇺🇲 event. All of the fanfare has been around Candace Owens, Carrie Prejean Boller, and Joe Kent. But the keynote speaker was Matt Walsh and the keynote speaker is the primary speaker at an event. But where was Matt Walsh? I’ve followed Matt since he was just a blogger on Facebook. He’s the reason I have a Daily Wire subscription. But I noticed that Catholics for Catholics 🇺🇲 hasn’t shared his speech and Matt hasn’t talked about his attendance at the event on his show. It turns out that Matt didn’t attend the event. He sent them a pre-recorded message instead and it is the most Catholic message at the entire event. What stands out the most to me is that Matt didn’t offer an excuse for his absence. Considering that Matt was as upset as I was when they took Charlie Kirk from us, it makes perfect sense that he wouldn’t want to share the limelight with Candace, an extreme grifter from Charlie’s legacy, or Carrie, the Catholic Karen. And then there’s Joe Kent, a decorated veteran who had the opportunity to completely destroy the people who took his wife from him and turned his back on the mission. Thank you, Matt, for standing by your principles and refusing to share a stage with these people.

During the Cold War, the Soviet Union built the most heavily defended airspace on the planet. A 19 year old flew straight through it in a rented Cessna. His name was Mathias Rust. He originally rented the tiny single engine airplane in West Germany. But the actual breach started in Finland. On May 28, 1987, he took off from an airport in Helsinki. He told Finnish air traffic control he was heading to Stockholm. As soon as he was in the air, he turned off his communication equipment. He completely changed his course and pointed the plane directly toward Moscow. The Soviet border had thousands of surface to air missiles and overlapping radar stations. He just flew right past all of it. He flew low to avoid the radar. He followed railway tracks so he would not get lost. He flew straight into the capital. He circled the Kremlin. Then he literally landed his plane on a bridge right next to Red Square. Tourists just walked up and started asking him for autographs. Soviet military officials were completely humiliated. The entire top level of their defense command was immediately fired over the breach.

During last weekend’s football game, 102-year-old Murray Lirette was honored as the last living World War II veteran from LSU. Mr. Murray attended LSU in 1941, then volunteered for the U.S. Army Corps during World War II, serving as a bombardier in the 351st Bomb Squadron. He later returned to LSU in 1948 to finish his degree. Thank you to the fans for giving Mr. Murray the recognition he deserves!

In 1942, Clark Gable's wife, Carole Lombard, passed away in an airplane crash. He was emotionally and physically devastated, and decided to join the Army Air Force. Although he was beyond the draft age at the time the U.S. entered World War II, he enlisted as a private in the Army Air Force on Aug. 12, 1942, at Los Angeles. He attended the Officers' Candidate School at Miami Beach, Florida, and graduated as a second lieutenant on Oct. 28. He then attended aerial gunnery school and in February 1943, on personal orders from Gen. Hap Arnold, went to England to make a motion picture about aerial gunners in action. He was assigned to the 351st Bomb Group at Polebrook, and although neither ordered nor expected to do so, flew operational missions over Europe in B-17s to obtain the combat film footage he believed was required for producing the movie, titled "Combat America." Gable returned to the U.S. in October 1943 and was relieved from active duty as a major on June 12, 1944, at his own request, since he was over-age for combat. Because his motion picture production schedule made it impossible for him to fulfill his AAF Reserve officer duties, he resigned his commission on Sept. 26, 1947. Two years after the death of his wife, Clark joined Irene Dunne to launch the USS Carole Lombard, in honor of Carole and her dedication to her country. The aircraft, too severely damaged to be repaired, was scheduled to be committed to the sea. As Christian God fearing Americans we ought to be ready to fight a war but avoid it at all costs, following the tenets of just war theory. Mexican Pilot Rafael Pacheco Pérez During His 1976 Flight: This is not Rafael. We come to you from another planet. We are using his body as a microphone. You need to understand that your species is on the brink of destruction because of nuclear weapons. The 23 year old student pilot was on a short practice flight near Mexico City when thick fog suddenly rolled in. His plane controls became completely unresponsive. He could not descend or turn the aircraft no matter what he tried. As he radioed air traffic control for help he began losing consciousness and blacked out. When Rafael woke up the fog had vanished. His plane was now flying level over open ocean in every direction. An hour had passed and he was hundreds of miles from where he should have been. Air traffic control in Acapulco had tracked him the entire time and was frantically calling his name. During that missing hour the radio recording captured his voice changing into a deep garbled tone that was clearly not his own. The entity speaking through him delivered the chilling message above while air traffic controllers listened in real time. They later described being deeply unsettled by what they heard. Rafael remembered nothing of the transmission or the events while he was unconscious. He regained control, landed safely, and was immediately approached by government officials. He never flew again. The audio recording of the incident still exists today. Reports claim Mexican authorities once tried to bury the case in official archives.
