“The larger #cats—#tigers, #lions —have circular pupils, because these provide good binocular vision for judging distances. Smaller predators that use stealth over speed, such as lynxes, tend to have sub-circular, vertically elongated pupils, a “clever adaptation” that allows short-statured predators to gauge distances along the ground as well as higher objects perched on the ground, like prey. The domestic, shorter cats evolved to have vertical slit pupils because they can’t see as far as taller cats.”Manasee Wagh Article 20.4.22

What about Goats pupils? I’ve never seen another farm animal with the same type of pupils the goats have.

It’s funny because my wife and I we have two young male cats and they are brothers. One brother has very round eyes and always looks very intense and the other brother has slit eyes and looks like he just smoked a 3 paper joint. 😂😂

foxes 🦊 have slit pupils as well 🤔 Act impressively like cats, and is considered the pinnacle of hunting. They know how to back-track, other than humans, no other species of animal does that. Too interesting not to include on this post.
