Secondly, if they committed any heinous crimes, such as rape, murder, or other grave offences, at the protest site, then they should be prosecuted, investigated, and imprisoned. Consequently, the Supreme Court has ordered that a separate, fresh FIR be registered in Delhi to investigate the around 2,800 identified hardened criminals. That issue has now been resolved...We urged the government to state before the Supreme Court that the compensation, in an honourable amount, would be paid within 90 days. The funds will be credited directly to the families’ bank accounts. The government gave this assurance to the Supreme Court today, and the Court accepted it, granting it judicial sanctity by incorporating it into its order."

Two men guilty of stealing empty tills from Camden restaurant At around 06:00hrs on Saturday, 25 January, police responded to an alert from London Borough of Camden CCTV operators to a break-in at a restaurant in Camden High Street. Officers arrived a short time later. Paul Haughey, 40, of NW1 and Jayvan Burton, 41, of no fixed address but from the Camden area, were caught red-handed. Both men were charged with non-residential burglary for stealing the empty tills, to which they pleaded guilty at Highbury Corner Magistrates’ Court on Monday, 27 January. Haughey will be sentenced at the same court on 18 February. A date is yet to be arranged for Burton’s sentencing at Wood Green Crown Court.

At an ICE protest in Philadelphia we were asking participants why they were out there when things took a wrong turn. I was assaulted with umbrellas, mystery liquids, fists, and mace. We ended up being attacked and maced. Everyone is okay because the cops did a great job in keeping us safe! With tensions heightened after the situation in Minnesota, what are your thoughts?
