Driver Dies After Fleeing Deputy and Crashing Belcamp, Maryland — June 9, 2026 — A fatal police-involved collision occurred at approximately 3:25 p.m. after a Harford County Sheriff’s Office deputy attempted to stop a vehicle on U.S. Route 40 (Pulaski Highway), according to the Maryland Office of the Attorney General’s Independent Investigations Division (IID). The deputy activated emergency equipment, but the driver fled at a high rate of speed. During the flight, the vehicle struck another vehicle at the intersection of Route 40 and Riverside Parkway, triggering a collision involving three additional vehicles. Five vehicles were ultimately involved, including the fleeing vehicle, and each was occupied only by its driver. The fleeing vehicle caught fire, and flames spread to one of the other vehicles. The fleeing driver was trapped and pronounced dead at the scene. Two drivers from the uninvolved vehicles were transported to area hospitals with serious but non-life-threatening injuries. The deputy involved was identified by the IID as Senior Deputy Allen Jennings, a 10-year veteran assigned to the Harford County Sheriff’s Office K-9 Unit. Jennings arrived moments after the collision, and additional deputies and emergency personnel provided medical assistance. Radio traffic from response to Sen. Graham’s home: Emergency radio traffic indicates that Senator Lindsey Graham suffered chest pains before going into cardiac arrest Saturday night. Efforts to revive the South Carolina lawmaker were not successful. Graham died two days after his 71st birthday. This is the second time within a month that the DC Fire & EMS Department was dispatched to the Capitol Hill home of a Republican U.S. Senator reported to be in cardiac arrest. The first was Senator Mitch McConnell from Kentucky on June 14th. The radio traffic from indicates that the 911 caller last night was a woman in Baltimore. The crew from Engine 7 arrived and could not get anyone to answer the door. They apparently forced entry into the home. The radio traffic gives the impression that Senator Graham may not have immediately been in cardiac arrest when they arrived, but there is no confirmation of that information. Here’s the unofficial timeline for the call: · 8:27:34 Engine 7 and Medic 7 (a paramedic ambulance) were dispatched to Graham’s home on South Capitol Street SE (I’ve omitted the street numbers). · 8:32:34 Engine 7 requested a callback to get someone inside to open the locked front door. · 8:33:34 (timestamp missing on video) Dispatcher reported that the caller said she was not in the home and the door is unlocked. · 8:34:15 Dispatcher reported that the caller asked if they knocked on the door, believing the patient would answer. Engine 7 responded, “Yes. Repeatedly.” · 8:35:05 Dispatcher said the caller is coming from Baltimore. The dispatcher asked Engine 7 if they would like a ladder truck company to force entry and asked about the need for DC Police. Engine 7 said they will need police, but they could handle forcing entry into the home. · 8:53:28 Engine 7 reported CPR was in progress “now” and requested an EMS supervisor (standard on cardiac arrest calls). · 8:54:00 EMS 6, an EMS supervisor, was dispatched. · 9:13:41 Battalion Chief 2 told the dispatcher to attach him to the run with Engine 7 (this is not routine on most cardiac arrest calls and is likely an indication of who the patient was). #lindseygraham #sengraham #firefighters #EMS #capitolhill The Hill Mike Emanuel 🇺🇸 Tom Sherwood Manu Raju The DC Line Scott MacFarlane Jim Acosta Jake Kanter Jake Tapper 🦅 Brian Stelter Paul Farhi Jennifer M. ***Chief Garcia providing sound regarding a critical police incident – officer involved shooting that occurred this morning.*** The Fort Worth Police Department is investigating a critical police incident-officer involved shooting that occurred early Saturday morning in East Fort Worth. On May 16, 2026, at approximately 4:15 a.m., FWPD East Division officers were on scene working a previous officer involved shooting near the 4200 block of Wiman Drive. While still investigating the shooting, a white SUV drove by multiple times at a high rate of speed. It appeared the driver was attempting to hit officers standing near their vehicles. Officers attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver failed to stop. Officers pursued the SUV for approximately 15 minutes and eventually stopped the vehicle with a tactical vehicle intervention, also known as a PIT maneuver. Officers then approached the vehicle with their guns drawn and gave multiple verbal commands. The adult male subject did not comply with the officers’ orders and grabbed an officer’s handgun. At that point, multiple officers fired their guns and struck the suspect. Medical aid was provided by officers until the Fort Worth Fire Department arrived on scene. The male was pronounced deceased on scene. A Fort Worth Police Officer was injured during this incident and was transported to a local hospital for treatment.
