Caught Out There is the Kelis fury anthem that froze the industry back in 1999. 🎤 🤔 Fun fact: Those "I hate you so much right now" screams weren't faked; Pharrell Williams locked her in the recording booth and riled her up by bringing up real-life betrayals so her voice would crack with genuine hate. Did you know? 🤯

I could write a dissertation about how this changed my life. It gave me permission to rage as much as I wanted to. Up until then I thought it was something that should be squashed or held in. My heart STILL skips a little when I see her bc for better or worse, she set me free.

This is one tune I used to play after a bad break up. Thankfully, I've cooked a lot since. But the time, it was "you woke the wrong dog!". This track is tremendous. So is 'Millionaire' with André 3000. And that pure and simple. Is a masterpiece of beats.
