CAYENNE PEPPER: THE MASTER HERB This clip comes from an early 80s lecture by Dr. John Christopher, one of the most influential herbalists of the last century. He shares the story of an 8-year-old boy who was accidentally shot by his brother in the bowel and spinal cord. The... bullet had entered his body and exited from two different spots so he was bleeding heavily when a neighbor rushed over. She gave him a tablespoon of cayenne immediately, even before calling 911. By the time emergency services arrived, the bleeding had stopped. Quentin Taratino said Lawrence Fishburne’s performance in King of New York was so incredible he thought - “he could be the greatest actor of his generation”. He explains: "As great as Christopher Walken is in this movie. To me, it's Larry Fishburne's movie - it was the rock that becomes a diamond aspect of the movie. It's why I could defend this movie against all comers, because to me, Fish's performance in this movie was comparable to a young Brando. It was the most exciting performance by an actor of his generation that I'd seen in a movie of that time. And I thought, well, that's it. There is a new Marlon Brando, and his name is Larry Fishburne - it was amazing, it was mesmerizing… He is the first hip hop gangster in movie history. That character had never been done before this. He invented that character. And he invented it as something to do. It wasn't in the original script. He came up with that himself… The three big Fishburne moments to me, is his opening sequence with…Tito. That's it, with Tito - black glove dude. And his reunion with Frank. And then it's the chicken scene (see below). Those are his three big arias. Not only that though - expressions that I would later hear for the rest of the decade, I actually heard for the first time in that scene. I'd never heard the expression; “I'll slap the black off you” before. That was the first time I heard it when Fish says it to Snipes. And the man he refers to as the Antichrist is the number 666 in the Book of Revelation, called the Beast. Of course he said 666 also refers to his connection to his computers. So there's a lot more to it. But he has been predicted as far back as Bible times. So he said he has a destiny to fulfill. He has to come, but after he comes, what happens after that is in the hands of mankind. Do we allow it to go through the worst case scenarios or can we lessen it? That's the point fulfill. We were given a lot of information about this man because he is so important. We have his horoscope. He was born on February the 4th, 1962 in Jerusalem, but he's not Jewish. And his parents were killed during the Israeli war and when he was about six or seven years old, and he was raised by his uncle. His uncle is a very evil man, and we have had many people see him, and we have in my work, and we had one woman who was able to put together a police composite picture of the uncle and of the antichrist. Heat in a double boiler for 5 to 10 minutes, stirring occasionally. The goal is to infuse the castor oil with capsaicin (the active compound in cayenne) without overheating it. Strain, cool, and store in a sealed jar. A few things worth knowing: Capsaicin works by binding to TRPV1 receptors and depleting Substance P, the chemical that signals pain to your brain. That's the science behind why it actually works, not just feels warm. Castor oil is loaded with ricinoleic acid, which has its own anti-inflammatory effect and helps drive the cayenne deeper into tissue. Layer DMSO on top after the salve absorbs and the relief reaches deeper. Just make sure your skin is clean first since DMSO carries whatever is on the surface into your body. A number of people like Nsereko Muhammad are calling on Museveni, the very man who unlawfully abducted Dr. Besigye from Kenya on 16 November 2024 and has kept him imprisoned for over a year in violation of his constitutional rights to "forgive" him. That framing completely misses the point. Like every Ugandan who believes in justice, I want to see Dr. Besigye free. But I'm not going to pretend I desire his freedom more than he does. Dr. Besigye has been consistent from the beginning: the treason charges against him are fabricated, and all he has demanded is what every citizen is entitled to a fair trial before an independent court. This struggle has never been about begging for the mercy of a ruler. It has always been about defending the rule of law against the abuse of state power. Justice is not a favour bestowed by those in power; it is a constitutional right owed to every citizen. As a believer in democracy and constitutionalism, I stand behind whatever decision Dr. Besigye makes. The fight is for justice, not mercy.

Look at this crucifixion. There are no nails. There is no blood, no wound, no crown of thorns. And you are not looking up at Christ, the way every crucifixion in history has asked you to. You are looking down at him, from above, as if you were God... The painting is Christ of Saint John of the Cross, made by Salvador Dalí in 1951, and it hangs in the Kelvingrove Art Gallery in Glasgow. It began, as so much of Dalí's work did, with a dream. He had been struck by a small, almost crude drawing made in the sixteenth century by the Spanish mystic Saint John of the Cross. While imprisoned in Toledo, the friar had a vision of the crucifixion seen from an impossible angle, from above, looking down on the bowed head and outstretched arms, and he sketched it quickly. Nothing like it existed in the entire tradition of Christian art. Centuries later, Dalí saw a reproduction, and it stayed with him. Then, in 1950, he had what he called a "cosmic dream." In his own words, written beneath his studies for the painting: "I saw this image in color and which in my dream represented the nucleus of the atom. This nucleus later took on a metaphysical sense; I considered it the very unity of the universe, the Christ." In the dream he saw Christ hovering above the bay of Port Lligat, the little Spanish fishing village where he lived, and a voice said to him: "Dalí, you must paint this Christ." He began the next morning. At first he intended to include the wounds, but near the end, he dreamed again, and this time he saw Christ with none of it. No nails. No blood. No thorns. He erased suffering from the cross entirely. To get the body right, he hired a Hollywood stuntman and had him suspended from an overhead gantry in the studio, so he could study exactly how a real human body hangs in the air, how gravity pulls at it. The result is a figure of impossible calm, floating in a dark sky above an ordinary harbor where two fishermen go about their day, unaware of what is happening above them. Dalí painted the moment as it might be seen from outside of time, from above the world, where the horror has been lifted away and what remains is the shape of the thing itself: a man, suspended between the sky and the sea, at the center of everything. Saint John of the Cross, whose small drawing began all this, once wrote a line that could serve as the caption to this painting: "In the evening of life, we will be judged on love alone." While imprisoned in Toledo, the friar had a vision of the crucifixion seen from an impossible angle, from above, looking down on the bowed head and outstretched arms, and he sketched it quickly. Nothing like it existed in the entire tradition of Christian art. Centuries later, Dalí saw a reproduction, and it stayed with him. Then, in 1950, he had what he called a "cosmic dream." In his own words, written beneath his studies for the painting: "I saw this image in color and which in my dream represented the nucleus of the atom. This nucleus later took on a metaphysical sense; I considered it the very unity of the universe, the Christ." In the dream he saw Christ hovering above the bay of Port Lligat, the little Spanish fishing village where he lived, and a voice said to him: "Dalí, you must paint this Christ." He began the next morning. At first he intended to include the wounds, but near the end, he dreamed again, and this time he saw Christ with none of it. No nails. No blood. No thorns. He erased suffering from the cross entirely. To get the body right, he hired a Hollywood stuntman and had him suspended from an overhead gantry in the studio, so he could study exactly how a real human body hangs in the air, how gravity pulls at it. The result is a figure of impossible calm, floating in a dark sky above an ordinary harbor where two fishermen go about their day, unaware of what is happening above them. Dalí painted the moment as it might be seen from outside of time, from above the world, where the horror has been lifted away and what remains is the shape of the thing itself: a man, suspended between the sky and the sea, at the center of everything. Saint John of the Cross, whose small drawing began all this, once wrote a line that could serve as the caption to this painting: "In the evening of life, we will be judged on love alone." I started going to see these exciting, fast, kind of cheesy but really fun monster movies, and there was one name that kept coming up on the screen: Roger Corman. 'It Conquered the World' (1956), 'Not of This Earth' (1957), 'Attack of the Crab Monsters' (1957), 'The Undead' (1957)... But | really understood for the first time what a director did when I saw 'Rio Bravo' in 1959. There was something about that movie that was like home and I can't really explain it. It was held over in Bowling Green for three or four weeks in a row because people kept coming to see it. I abandoned to see what was new in the other movie house in town to see this movie every weekend again and again because there was something in it that was different from the other westerns I had seen. I had certainly seen John Wayne before. He had become a part of my growing-up experience. He was the action guy, the cowboy. He was the guy in 'Flying Tigers' (1942) who was flying the airplanes. So what was so different about that movie? Then I became aware of this credit: “Howard Hawks’ Rio Bravo.” I looked at the poster and I said to myself, “Who is this guy? He didn't write the movie and he wasn't starring in it so why is his name up here? Mother is dead, father is old and lives in the village. This is not an isolated case. This is the story of thousands of families. Friends split. Communities fractured. Families torn apart. Because the country has become such a hard place that so many have to travel far and wide to make something meaningful out of life. Eventually for the money we chase and the survival we seek, by going far far away from home due to no fault of our own, we all eventually pay back in a price far higher than money can give. To you who has missed the birth of your child, the burial of a loved one, the graduation of a sibling, the hugs of your family, because you were far away… To everyone who has had to go far away from home, or who has had loved ones who have had to go far away from home, this one is for you…$

Here's another Local Ukrianian Hero I feel more people should know about, He goes by Uncle Grisha (дядя гриша) during my whole time In service in the Ukrainian marines I have seen him on many occasions during Military celebrations in Mykolaiv collecting money to help units on the frontline, although I never interacted with him it was always nice to see him at various Celebrations. He was previously drafted in the Soviet Airborne and was injured during his deployment in 1968 as part of a limited contingent of Soviet troops to Czechoslovakia. He later had to have his legs amputated but that didn't stop him from achieving and setting out to do what was needed in life, later on after the events of 2014 He went on to collect Money for the military and become quite a Local legend amongst those in the military. However Last year when Russia invaded and occupied Kherson his home town, he refused to leave and amongst those in the community who know of him they tried to find out if he had left but they later learned he refused to leave his hometown and continued Rasing money for the Ukrainian forces. Two of the videos I added show him riding through the market in Occupied kherson in traditional Ukrainian clothing while blasting the Ukrainian Anthem with a bucket for Donations and the other video is another occasion when he was spotted riding through playing a pro Ukrainian song. He had said during his whole 7 months in occupation the vast majority of Russian soldiers left him alone thinking he was an Afgan Veteran and said he mostly had a few comments from local collaborators. He was forced to leave on the eve of the false Referendum after receiving threats from the FSB and left for zaporizhzhia. The bravery and determination in this man is amazing and everyone should know about this Local hero because I haven't once seen him spoken about in the west outside of Ukrainian media. Heroyam Slava

His name is Matthew Lanske, he's a construction worker in Seattle. Last Saturday night, he and his friends had just finished dinner in Belltown when they walked into one of those "street takeovers." His family says a man and two women tried to rob one of Matthew's friends at gunpoint. Matthew tried to stop the gunman and for his trouble, he was SH0T THREE TIMES. Twice in the stomach and a third bullet shattered his pelvis and tore through a major artery. He should have passed away right there on the sidewalk. Instead, this man got up and WALKED two blocks while bleeding out. He was begging for people to help him, no one did. The public has the right to know. The media's duty is to report. One of the horrible cases that is silenced in this long war is the case of the death of Dr. Adnan al-Bursh. Al Bursh is one of the best and most respected surgeons in Gaza. From the beginning of the war, he worked in several hospitals in an attempt to save as many civilians as possible who were injured by IDF shelling. He was arrested along with other medical teams and taken to detention in Sde Teyman, and then to the Ofer prison, where he was severely tortured until he died. Until the day of his death, no charges were filed against him, and he was not brought before a judge. His body is still being held in Israel, and no explanation has been given for his death. This is another shocking example of Israel's brutal repression policy.
