Typical behavior from the arrogant metropolitan elite, refusing to apologize for spreading misinformation. Their lack of accountability is staggering, and it's no wonder people are losing trust in mainstream media. Time for some real journalism, not just regurgitating lies and running away when confronted with the truth.

EXCLUSIVE: CBC, CTV lied about police response to Leaders' Debate chaos, records show Officials confirmed they have no records of any involvement whatsoever. No calls, no messages, no officers. The federal leaders’ debates in 2025 were supposed to showcase Canadian democracy. Instead, they exposed collusion between Canada’s state broadcaster and the taxpayer-funded commission meant to referee them. Rebel News had twice beaten the Leaders’ Debates Commission in federal court after being unlawfully barred from covering the debates. By 2025, facing the prospect of losing a third time, the commission capitulated and accredited Rebel News. That legal victory enraged the legacy media, particularly the CBC, as Rebel News reporters were heckled in the press line, disparaged on national television, and ultimately shut out of the post-debate scrum when the commission cancelled the second night's scrum entirely rather than allow questions from independent media. I know, I was in the room, subject to this vile workplace harassment for two days straight. I guess we were too good at our jobs on the first night, after upstaging the entitled bullies in the mainstream media. The message was clear: independent journalists were such a disruption that police had to be called in. Again, look at this footage from inside the media room. Who are the aggressors? But now a Rebel News freedom of information request to the Montreal police service (SPVM) exposed the lie. Officials confirmed they have no records of any involvement whatsoever. No calls, no messages, no officers. Security inside the debate venue was handled by the RCMP — not SPVM, and certainly not because of Rebel News. It's a Pattern of Dishonesty This wasn’t a one-off mistake. CBC’s own ombudsman admitted in April that the 2025 election set a record for complaints — more than the previous three months combined — with the leaders’ debates at the centre of viewer outrage. Why? Because CBC lied there too. They claimed Rebel News’ billboard truck was breaking the law. It wasn’t. They claimed our journalists disrupted the debates. We didn’t. They claimed accreditation was revoked. It wasn’t. And Rosemary Barton falsely told Canadians that “remains of Indigenous children have been found” — a statement later quietly “corrected” online to acknowledge only “potential burial sites.” The ombudsman admitted “many complaints were found to have merit.” Translation: viewers caught the CBC lying, and the network had to concede it. More Manufactured Victims and Manufactured Stories The debates were supposed to be about Canadians hearing directly from their leaders. Instead, they became about legacy media protecting their turf. CBC and CTV weren’t content to report facts. They positioned themselves as victims, smeared independents as aggressors, and even invented a police presence to make their storyline stick. The access to information documents and the ombudsman’s report prove this wasn’t a mistake — it was a pattern. With Prime Minister Mark Carney pledging another $150 million to the CBC on top of its $1.4 billion subsidy, Canadians should expect more of the same: a state broadcaster that manufactures narratives, not news. These liars should apologize. Instead, they will be rewarded with more of your money to lie to you some more.

VIDEO EXCLUSIVE: What the CBC deleted from their ambush of Pierre Poilievre Last week a government comedian from Trudeau’s CBC’s state broadcaster attended a Pierre Poilievre rally to ambush the Conservative Party leader. Dan Dillabough, who works for the low-rated CBC show: This Hour Has 22 Minutes, tried to reheat the tired gag that Mary Walsh first did decades ago with her character Marg Delahunty, where she would interrupt and berate politicians. In Dillabough’s version, it was done without the costume, the colourful character or any of the jokes. And painfully, without the usual 22 Minutes laugh track. The CBC tweeted out the video of their ambush, which bombed with viewers on social media. But at the 1:15 mark in the video, a jump-cut edit can be seen — something had been deleted. What was it? It couldn’t have been something embarrassing said by Poilievre — that would have been kept in for sure. Rebel News reached out to Chuck Thompson, head of public affairs at the CBC. He replied saying, “as is the case with most interviews that 22 Minutes does, this one was edited for time.” Thompson did send over the full, unedited version of the interaction in question, however, which included the deleted clip — which was a grand total of three seconds! So what were those three seconds? It was Dillabough responding to Poilievre’s criticism of the CBC. Poilievre had just told Dillabough that when he’s prime minister, CBC staff like him will “have to earn a living rather than getting it from taxpayers’ money”. It was Dillabough’s reply that was cut out by CBC editors: “Oh listen, I’m one of the good ones.” Three seconds — it wasn’t to save time. So why was that comment cut? Those three seconds showed Dillabough panicking in the moment, not knowing what to say when Poilievre predictably criticized the CBC. Perhaps by claiming he was one of the “good ones”, Dillabough thought he might ingratiate himself with Poilievre, who seemed bored with the whole exchange. But more importantly, Dillabough’s comments confirmed that he knows most CBC staff, from the CEO on down, are partisan activists who do seek to undermine the Conservative Party under the guise of journalism or, in this case, comedy. He was saying the quiet part out loud — and claiming not to be part of it. Dillabough was condemning the rest of the CBC — he was throwing his colleagues under the bus. There was no editorial or comedic reason to cut those three seconds. They were cut for purely political reasons — so as not to embarrass the CBC politically. Which just proves that everything at the CBC — from journalism to “comedy” — is edited with a political eye. But even as they released the full video to Rebel News, the CBC couldn’t help one last act of disinformation — claiming it was “edited for time.” There are only three things you need to know about the CBC: 1. They take $1.5 billion of your tax dollars every year. 2. They hate you. 3. And they lie to you. FIGHT BACK! Sign our petition at

CBC and Debates Commission caught red-handed in black ink cover-up 88 pages of emails reveal CBC lobbying against Rebel News, the Commissioner praising their “professionalism,” and key records — including formal complaints — mysteriously missing. That legal victory enraged the legacy media, particularly the CBC. According to journalists on the ground, Rebel News reporters were heckled in the press line, disparaged on national television, and ultimately shut out of the post-debate scrum when the Commission cancelled it entirely rather than allow questions from independent media. Now, 88 pages of internal emails obtained through Access to Information shed new light on the backroom behaviour. The records reveal that CBC anchors and executives were pressuring the Commission behind the scenes: Rosemary Barton emailed: “Dear Mr. Cormier and other members of the debate commission…” lodging complaints against Rebel News. CBC Editor-in-Chief Brodie Fenlon set up private strategy calls with on-air talent, David Cormier: “Hey David. Can you and I chat 1:1? Can we talk at 12:30? I’ll set up a video call.”. CBC Chief of Staff Kenny Yum circulated agenda demands to Cormier: “Hello, we got this inquiry…” with the details blacked out several days after the debate. Instead of defending fairness, Commissioner Michel Cormier responded by thanking CBC for their “professionalism”. On-air, the “professionalism” looked very different. CBC falsely claimed Rebel’s accreditation had been revoked, that its journalists disrupted the debate, and that its billboard truck was illegal. Most seriously, Rosemary Barton falsely stated on national television that “remains of Indigenous children” had been found across the country — a claim CBC later admitted was untrue in a buried online correction. No on-air apology was ever made to Rebel News or reporter Drea Humphrey, who was smeared by name. The ATIP records are heavily redacted. Some blackouts fall under Section 19, which protects personal information like phone numbers. But most are classified under Section 68.1, a “journalism exemption” meant to shield creative or programming material. Critics say applying it to complaint emails and backroom lobbying is indefensible. The records also appear incomplete. Missing entirely are the Independent Press Gallery’s condemnation of the Commission’s behaviour, signed by multiple independent outlets, and Rebel News' formal complaint, filed directly to the Commission. Rebel News has launched an appeal to obtain the full set of records. Sheila Gunn Reid

CBC in retreat after bizarre undercover sting to humiliate conservative women On The Ezra Levant Show, Ezra Levant 🍁🚛 reacted to the CBC setting up an undercover sting operation in an attempt to humiliate conservatives. After setting up fake companies and personas, employees of the CBC reportedly tried to meet up with Dr. Frances Widdowson and Lindsay Shepherd under false pretenses. Both women were seemingly targeted by the CBC because they reject the view that Sir John A. Macdonald was genocidal, instead viewing him as a nation-building hero. The employees then tried to film the women saying incriminating things before ultimately revealing themselves. The CBC misled the women into believing they were allies, all while secretly filming and provoking them in hopes of capturing an incriminating reaction. Ezra commented on the disturbing story, noting taxpayer funding appears to have been used to attack free speech activists for not kowtowing to mainstream narratives. "The CBC set up a massive sting operation, setting up fake companies and giving their people fake names to get close to Lindsay Shepherd and Frances Widdowson by telling them flattering lies — we love you, we're supporting you, what you're doing is very brave — and then to trick them by filming ... provoking them and, doing things to get a reaction," he said. "It's just sort of incredible. Don't you find it interesting that both women I just mentioned were fired for their views. So these are not strong people crushing weak people. These are people who themselves were crushed, fired for their views, and yet the mighty CBC thinks they're the ones to do this to," Ezra continued. "It would be something if they went after a cabinet minister or exposed some sort of grift or graft. That's what James O'Keefe does at Project Veritas. You could say that his people are deceptive in that they claim to be strangers found on a dating app, but they don't trick people into saying things ... and the people that James O'Keefe always goes after are powerful people in powerful organizations," he added. The CBC has since confirmed its involvement in the project, which was produced as part of a CBC Entertainment initiative that received funding from Canadian Heritage grants. The sting operation reportedly involved approximately 25 CBC staff members and used at least two fake production companies, including one named 'Forge Media.'

CBC manufactures an attack on Elon Musk Ezra Levant 🍁🚛 describes CBC's smear against Elon Musk as a 'shakedown' rather than investigative journalism. Yesterday, Canada's state broadcaster ran a story 'investigating' how “Bell Media, Angus Reid and other Canadian brands halt ads on X amid extremism concerns.” The news comes after X owner Elon Musk filed a lawsuit against left-wing organization Media Matters for allegedly defaming the social media platform by manipulating its advertising algorithm. On last night's episode of The Ezra Levant Show, Ezra looked at how CBC did its best to import this story into Canada through a story by reporter Jonathan Montpetit. Montpetit, who Ezra described as “Trudeau's hatchet man at the CBC,” was targeting the prime minister's latest enemy, Elon Musk. Breaking down the “pretty boring, extremely long” 2,000-word story, Ezra came to the conclusion CBC was manufacturing news instead of reporting on it: This was not an investigation by Jonathan Montpetit. That's not the essence of this story. This was Jonathan Montpetit using his CBC letterhead to contact advertisers and basically, in the guise of interviewing them, actually threaten them. I've seen this email before: 'we see that your advertising next to racist accounts. Will you cancel your advertising? I'm doing a story on this, I need your reply in two hours.' That's not actually journalism. It pretends to be journalism, and the signature field in the email claims that Montpetit's a journalist. But that's not true, that is pressing a company — that's making the news, that's manufacturing the news. Pressing an advertiser with false information, ginned up by the CBC, which is a competitor to Twitter. So CBC has two conflicts of interest. They're government run, so they run errands for Trudeau. And second of all, they're a competitor with Twitter. And so this is not a news story; they have made the news. Which is, they have a couple of tweets they think are mean, they call up advertisers and say 'we're going to embarrass you in a story we're gonna run tomorrow. You've got two hours to avow to disavow Elon Musk.' And most of the advertisers, being conflict averse, say 'OK fine. You're right, you're right, we'll quit.' Ta-da. You've just created the news story. That's not investigative journalism, that's a shakedown.

CBC documents show less than 5% of Canadians tune in despite $1 billion annual subsidy Internal briefing documents from Canada’s public broadcaster offer a rare glimpse behind the curtain ... and the picture they paint is anything but flattering. Despite commanding billions in taxpayer funding and dominating the media landscape by sheer size, the Canadian Broadcasting Corporation appears to be losing the one thing that actually matters: its audience. According to the documents, fewer than 5% of Canadians watch CBC television, with that number declining year after year. In an era where digital platforms, streaming services and online media are booming, the CBC stands out for moving in the opposite direction. Even as population growth surges and media consumption increases, the public broadcaster is shrinking. Yet what’s striking is not just the decline, it’s the CBC’s apparent indifference to it. Rather than focusing on viewership, trust, or impact, the internal presentation leans heavily on spending as its primary measure of success. The broadcaster proudly highlights its share of national media expenditures, boasting that it accounts for a significant portion of spending on news, drama, and entertainment. This obsession with scale over substance raises uncomfortable questions. If success is measured by how much money is spent rather than how many people are actually watching, what incentive is there to improve? With approximately $1.4 billion in annual taxpayer funding, making up the bulk of its nearly $2 billion revenue, the CBC operates in a financial reality far removed from its private-sector competitors. That imbalance has broader consequences. By simultaneously receiving public funding and competing for advertising dollars, the CBC effectively crowds out independent media. Private outlets must fight for revenue in a market where their largest competitor is backed by the state. The documents also reveal a sprawling organisation: thousands of employees, dozens of platforms and international bureaus. But scale alone does not translate into influence. In fact, the data suggests the opposite. Subscription revenues are falling, viewership is declining, and newer ventures like its streaming platform struggle to gain traction against global giants. Perhaps most concerning is what the documents don’t address. There is little mention of audience satisfaction, public feedback, or editorial balance. The CBC has become increasingly out of step with large segments of the population, particularly on political and cultural issues. In the end, the contradiction is stark. A broadcaster with unmatched resources and reach is steadily losing relevance among the very public that funds it.

TRUMP & SOD PETE HEGSETH DESTROY THE MAINSTREAM MEDIA & COMFIRM DESTRUCTION OF IRAN'S NUCLEAR SITES. In an epic display, Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth and President Trump call out the fake news reports that downplayed the Operation Midnight Hammer strikes on 3 Iranian nuclear facilities. "If you want to make an assessment of what happened at Fordow, you better get a big shovel and go really deep because Iran's nuclear program is obliterated." — Pete Hegseth, Secretary of Defense The mainstream media and what little credibility they're hanging onto can't stand to see Trump winning. It's as simple as that. Not only do you have members of Trump's own administration and the Pentagon leaking information, but they are now purposely leaking false information in an attempt to hurt Trump. On top of that, the fake news media like CNN and the New York Times take that information and amplify it through their propaganda platforms and attack Trump like they've been doing from the very beginning. Lying to the American people to score Trump man bad points. In the end, they're only hurting themselves and destroying their own credibility even more just because they can't corner Trump and actually blame him for anything or report on any negative news. These mainstream networks aren't news. It's lies and propaganda, and it's dividing America. The mainstream is barley standing as it is and this time they're hurting our own military and the pilots who flew that dangerous mission to make our country and our president proud by calling them incompetent and lying that they didn't successfully complete their mission and destroy the targets. Do yourself a favor and just stop believing the fake news media. Verify and research everything. No matter where it comes from and you'll start to understand the games that these fake news media networks play.

CBC News in Crisis Mode: Distancing Itself from Deceptive "Prank" Show CBC News is scrambling to separate its news division from a controversial satirical prank series funded in part by CBC Entertainment and APTN Former professor Frances Widdowson was lured under false pretenses of a legitimate documentary, only to have children’s shoes dumped on the table in a staged stunt. She was targeted for questioning the residential schools narrative, particularly claims of “unmarked graves” at Kamloops CBC senior entertainment reporter Griffin Yeager claimed “unmarked graves found” at Kamloops — despite CBC’s own Public Editor admitting on April 17, 2025, that no graves or human remains have been confirmed there The production by NLT1 Productions (funded by the Indigenous Screen Office) used deceptive tactics resembling journalism to ambush critics. Other targets included CPC MP Aaron Gunn. CBC conveniently omitted this CBC claims “no involvement” by its news division and calls it “established satire.” Yet public dollars were used to target Canadians for their political views by people falsely representing themselves as CBC documentary producers... a practice many rightly condemn “Many are questioning whether public dollars should be spent for pranks targeting people for their political views.” This deceptive production raises serious ethical and legal concerns (misrepresentation, misuse of public funds). CBC remains exposed to potential legal action. Trudeau runs from questions after Rebel News tracks down Liberal retreat Rebel News caught Justin Trudeau arriving at the Liberal retreat held in Montebello, Quebec, where reporter Alexa Lavoie was physically escorted out for simply trying to ask Trudeau a question. On President Donald J. Trump’s inauguration day, the Liberals chose to hold their retreat in Montebello, Quebec. As journalists, we tried to ask the questions Canadians want answered — chiefly, why Prime Minister Justin Trudeau refuses to call an election when the vast majority of Canadians are demanding it. Instead, Trudeau announced his decision to step down Liberal leader and prorogue Parliament until March 24. Shortly before that, on March 7, the Liberals will announce their new leader, who will automatically then become the next prime minister. Meanwhile, Canadians are struggling — facing skyrocketing bills, rising crime, and the looming threat of U.S. tariffs due to our border crisis, a situation that has worsened under Trudeau's open-border policies. We drove to Montebello, gained access to the glamourous resort, and waited for Trudeau’s arrival. His massive convoy pulled in around midday, giving me the opportunity to ask him a question. Not only was I physically removed by Trudeau's RCMP bodyguards, but one of the individuals giving personal directions was Terry Guillon, Trudeau’s senior media advance lead and a member of the Prime Minister's Office. This same man previously assaulted our former colleague, Keean Bexte, during an Indigenous Nations event while he was reporting. He’s also the one who ordered my microphone to be cut during a press conference question period. This taxpayer-funded thug physically blocked me and grabbed my arm — despite having no right or authority to interfere with our journalism. His actions are a direct assault on press freedom and on the critical role of journalists in holding politicians accountable. After leaving the premises, the police pulled us over in an attempt to intimidate us. But let this be clear: intimidation tactics will not stop Rebel News from doing journalism and asking the tough questions that politicians would rather avoid.
