I just caught the beautiful intricacies on Taehyung’s red-on-red leather Celine custom from the Boston D1 concert in this fan cam. The jacket is pure craftsmanship. Those sculpted red cords across the chest sit raised and dimensional like little art pieces.. one forming a clean circle, the other a textured flower-like cluster. Thick braided detailing crowns the shoulders, with long metal chains hanging in loose loops and draping fluidly along the right side. The red leather pants with their scattered silver studs complete the look perfectly.. bold, precise, and made to shine under the lights. NEW KILLER STAR HD UPGRADE “With the bubbles and action, The little details in colour...” Those of you who subscribe to the official Bowie YouTube channel will have already seen this, but if you haven’t, here’s the New Killer Star HD upgrade: When the video first aired to promote the first release from Reality, fans bemoaned the absence of the song’s creator among the colourful characters that populated the thing. Spoiler alert: He’s still not in it. However, a minute long alternate version of the video featuring an animated Bowie, was briefly available on the Blink TV website twenty years ago. That version featured a take of the song, in which the “nuclear baby” phrase is sung as “beautiful baby”, suggesting it was a demo version. Here's a bit of what Blink TV said about their NKS video in particular: “Bowie was filmed, then traced and animated - these animations were edited onto layered backgrounds to create a 3D hologram effect.” As you can see, the finished video utilises a lenticular effect, which is what they are describing above. We’ve not managed to locate the Blink TV version among a teetering tower of old hard drives, but someone out there must still have it. Do you? In the Official Reality Press Release written by David Wild in 2003, Bowie had this to say regarding the song: “I'm not a political commentator, but I think there are times when I'm stretched to at least implicate what's happening politically in the songs that I'm writing. And there was some nod, in a very abstract way, toward the wrongs that are being made at the moment with the Middle Eastern situation. On average, about 20% of McDonald's sales are Happy Meals. Smart & Evil if you think about it considering how unhealthy and filled with additives a happy meal is. DAVID BOWIE ‘HEROES’ - THE POWERFUL & EVOCATIVE FINAL SONG IN THE SERIES FINALE OF NETFLIX’S STRANGER THINGS ‘HEROES’ IS AVAILABLE TO STREAM NOW ON PARLOPHONE: WATCH THE HD REMASTERED 'HEROES' VIDEO: New Year’s Day saw the broadcast on Netflix of the final episode of the phenomenally successful and critically lauded stranger things . Ten years in the making, the final song of the entire series is ‘Heroes’ by David Bowie, one of music’s boldest innovators and most enduring visionaries. After the final scene of Series 5 Episode 8 plays, the show doesn’t jump to its typical credits sequence. Instead, it rolls into a nostalgic animated end-credits segment and lets Bowie’s “Heroes” play all the way through. The decision to end the show with the iconic track was suggested by actor Joe Keery, who plays Steve Harrington on the show and records music under the name Djo. Speaking to Netflix Tudum, the show’s co-creator Ross Duffer says, “Once Joe said that, we immediately knew that was the right song to end the show on because it is, in some ways, an anthem for Stranger Things. To use the original Bowie version just felt right and fitting for the conclusion.” Initially released in September 1977, ‘Heroes’ is the title track of the second instalment of Bowie’s hugely influential ‘Berlin Trilogy’ of albums produced by Bowie and Tony Visconti and featuring Brian Eno. She presents herself as a fearless risk-taker, but As Ever launched with advantages most entrepreneurs could only dream of: global name recognition, celebrity connections, media attention and a royal title. The humble beginnings narrative sits awkwardly beside all of that. The As Ever journey was also a missed opportunity. It could have been a chance to talk honestly about what didn’t work, what had to change, what she misjudged and what she learned along the way. Instead, obstacles mostly appeared as things that happened around her rather than things she might have contributed to or learned from. One answer summed up the entire interview for me. When Emma asked what Meghan had learned from the female founders she’d interviewed on her own podcast, I expected something specific. After all those conversations with successful women, surely there would be a lesson that changed her thinking, a mistake she saw repeated over and over, or advice she applied to her own business. Instead, the takeaway seemed to boil down to the idea that building a business is hard and people have regrets. Well… yes. That’s hardly a groundbreaking insight. I’ve been using GPT-5.6 Sol internally for the past two months, I've spent probably 25+ billion tokens. Here’s my review and comparison to Fable 5: > Let's start with the analogy because everyone seems to be giving theirs - GPT-5.6 is likely the last version of the GPT-5 training run series. It's kind of like an athlete at their peak. Through years of experience in the game, they've become the most reliable player and has the highest game IQ. But, there's no more room to grow. Fable on the other hand, being essentially the first version of a new training run, is the first round draft pick rookie. Raw talent mixed with the energy only a young person would have results in some incredible plays we didn't think possible, but also mistakes due to lack of experience. But that rookie will only improve and likely will be better than the veteran ever was because it's a new game and a new era. > GPT-5.6 is genuinely better at long, sustained work. With /goal, I've had it running complex projects for days with almost no intervention. It built a Minecraft-style game, kept adding features and mobs after the core game worked, and only stopped because I stopped the run. I never felt as though I had to jump in and guide it back to the right path. > It keeps finding useful work when you give it a concrete finish line. I had it recreate Excel with a loop. It inspected the real desktop excel app with Computer Use, comparing that against its own build, and closing the gaps. I stopped it after six days after it had built an incredible amount of functionality. > It's faster than other models in two different ways. The raw generation speed is higher, something OpenAI has been putting effort into. But it also takes a shorter path to solutions. It wanders less, changes less code, and generally knows how to get things done directly. In daily use, it feels about 2-3x times faster than Fable. That's my impression, not a controlled benchmark. The difference is large enough that I notice it constantly. > It works well across a wide range of tasks. I use it for one-line edits, quick questions, browser chores, and multi-day builds without changing my prompting style. Speaking of browser control, its the best ever I've used. To the point where I actually use it often. If a task lives on a website, GPT-5.6 usually opens the browser and does it there instead of asking for an API key or forcing everything through the terminal. When I switched back to GPT-5.5, it went straight to the command line even when the browser was clearly the better tool. > And it can handle real browser work, not just toy demos. During a data import, I had it monitor Supabase and resize instances as the load changed. It stayed on the dashboard, adjusted capacity, and checked the result without an API or a custom script. > I also gave it a full Google Workspace migration. It moved Forward Future from to preserved the old aliases, and configured MX, SPF, and DKIM. Before a consequential save, it stopped, explained exactly what would change, and waited for confirmation. > The reasoning setting matters a lot. Light is good for questions and small edits. High and Extra High are the sweet spots for serious work. Ultra usually takes longer than the extra thinking is worth and burns tokens. > I love that 5.6 is split into 3 sizes. Not only can you control speed and cost that way, but you still also have the thinking effort setting for each of them. Very precise controls. I just wish Codex automatically routed my prompts for me. > Its personality is blunt and a little bland. Claude feels warmer and more natural to talk to. GPT-5.6 is more clinical, but I like that for work. It gives me enough explanation and rarely pads the answer. I usually have to ask Fable to explain things more simply and/or more concise. > Its front-end taste has improved, but the default is predictable. Left alone, it turns websites into PowerPoint decks with huge statements and hard section breaks. The good news is that it takes design direction well and can revise without destroying the parts that already work. > It still makes confident mistakes. I asked it to rebuild parts of a system, and it told me the job was finished. Later, I found out it wasn't. Bits of its internal process also leak into the answer occasionally. > Claude Fable is more naturally autonomous on large, open-ended projects. GPT-5.6 is easier to reach for. I don't need to invent a huge project to justify using it. It works just as well for a small edit or browser chore. > GPT-5.6 is also cheaper. Sol costs $5 per million input tokens and $30 per million output tokens. Fable costs $10 and $50. Cached input is cheaper too. Still, cost per finished task matters more than cost per token. > GPT-5.6 isn't the best at everything, and it still needs supervision. But it generates faster, wanders less, works at almost any scale, and wastes less of my time. It's the model I have the most confidence in to get the job done right the first time. And finally, Norman Jewison was the director, with Denzel. And when I heard that Norman Jewison was directing this, I said, “Hell to the nah!” But here’s the thing, though. I respect Norman Jewison, because it was his job; he gracefully bowed out. He didn’t have to do that. And so, once we got that, I knew we had to do the film. But from the very beginning, we didn’t have enough money. We didn’t have enough money. I put half my salary into the film. Warner Bros. knew it. We all knew it. But we’re just gonna go. I mean, this whole thing is — and, you know, in the studio system, you got to get them impregnated. So we knew one day the money would run out. And Warner Bros. did not want the length of that film to be three hours. We knew — it was not about ego. To tell the many different lives that Malcolm led, we needed that time. We needed that time. And we went out — it’s crazy. We showed the four-hour version to Warner Bros. Four hours. We knew we’d cut it down, but… It was the day of the Rodney King verdict. All the people in postproduction got registered letters saying, “You’re fired.” As I said before, I already put half my salary already into the film. What does that mean? And then it hit me like a ton of bricks: I know some Black folks that got some money. So, this was the plan. Not did I only know them, but I had their phone number. The making of the video was documented at the time, but that footage has mainly remained unseen until today. The new 4K video for the Steve Thompson Mix remix of the track features behind-the-scenes footage from the late-night shoot at Spillers Millennium Mills in the East End of London. The single version of the song was released on 27th August, with all the proceeds benefiting famine relief. It topped the UK Singles Chart for four weeks and reached No. 7 in the United States on the Billboard Hot 100. To celebrate the 40th anniversary of ”Dancing In The Street,” a limited edition white vinyl 12" is available now, bringing together every one of the song's mixes for the first time. As with the original, 30% of the retail price from the sale of this single, representing royalties and proceeds, will be donated to the Band Aid Charitable Trust by David Bowie, Mick Jagger and Parlophone Records.
