Here are the facts about John Beaton. He has a 47-11-3 record in Celtic games. He has a 36-9-10 record in Rangers games. He has single handedly cheated Rangers out of two cup finals against Celtic. None of these facts is going to stop their whinging though of course. Just think about this, even their least favoured ref has cost Rangers 2 old firm cup finals against them, imagine how bad Clancy, Walsh, MacDermid and co are in their favour.

Did anyone else spot this flag on display before kick-off at yesterday's Rangers - Celtic game? I'm not sure how Police Scotland didn't find it threatening, abusive and flown with the intention to stir up hatred against a group defined by nationality and religion i.e. Irish Catholics. When you add the Jock Stein banner into the mix, I'm sure all decent Rangers fans would have mortified, to paraphrase John Davidson.

Class XII Interceptor at 2000fps doing what they do.. These objects are flying by commercial aircraft on a routine basis. This was shot with a telescope and an attached high speed camera. This white object is in focus along with the aircraft. They are occupying the same space. These objects are doing this every day. I cannot show clearer footage, this shit is f'ing real. Good to see Brendan Rodgers and some of the players magnanimously congratulate ex-Celt Gustaf Lagerbielke after tonight's Celtic - Braga Europa League tie. I wonder if Brendan regrets letting him go as he put in a fairly solid performance. I also wonder if he was the first nobleman to play for Celtic. According to Wikipedia, he is the 11th Baron Lagerbielke and the oldest son of the 8th Count Lagerbjelke. Not sure how well that would have gone down with the Green Brigade, though.

They also know what he has meant to their 2 Super Bowls runs, despite not working out at OC. The players who praised him all season and after the wild-card loss do so with sincerity. It is not lip service or professionalism. They genuinely respect him. Almost every player was asked about him after their loss, nobody wavered in their praise for him. Nick has explained what they are doing, and the players have expressed their role in the season's struggles. Below is from right after the game.
