"Conservative" is relative to time period. So is "liberal." I was "liberal" 10 years ago, and now I'm "conservative." But I haven't changed. These labels mean nothing anymore. The modern left is just evil. And the modern right is naive.

Maybe centrist is conservative because the far left is so far left (socialists) that people who were 50/50 are now having to balk at the ideas coming from the left.
