Out of everyone in the show, Tywin really had the perfect downfall. All his life as a father, his single biggest flaw was never his ignorance of what Cersei and Jaime were doing in the bedroom, but his ignorance of the truth that Tyrion was the exact heir he'd always wanted. Lancel Lannister’s character arc was one of the most unexpected in Game of Thrones. Bro survived serving Cersei and Robert… then decided the Faith was a healthier lifestyle. Considering how the Lannisters treated him, it’s not hard to see why he wanted to leave that life behind. He went looking for the breastplate stretcher… and somehow found religion instead. 😂 And of all the families to walk away from, House Lannister was probably near the top of the list. The funniest part? Just when Lancel finally found his courage and stood for something, fate had other plans. Lancel really looked at the chaos around him and said.. “Yeah… I’m out.” 😂🥀

He didn't request a trial by combat because he had already struck a deal with his accusers to confess and be sent to the Nights Watch. When Joffrey orders his execution that was not planned, Cersei and Varys both plea for his life but to no avail. Even if he did demand a trial by combat or would not have mattered as Joffrey would have named Jaime or Sandor Clegane as his champion. Ned could not have defeated either of them at his peak and now he has been stabbed in his leg and starved in a dungeon. He also has no Champion he could call upon because his retinue in the capitol have all been killed and the rest is fighting a war with Robb. Also Cersei holds Sansa as a hostage, one of the primary reasons why he decided to confess was so that Sansa would not be harmed. Even if he would have won he would not have been free from the dungeons, only the accusations of being a traitor. He would still have been held a hostage as long as Robb was marching with his army. Any deal to free him would not have happened until Robb captures Jaime or any equally important hostage but even so with Tywin in command that is unlikely to happen. Lastly you can't blame Ned for feeling cynical over trials by combat. The last Stark to demand a trial by combat in Kings Landing was his father, Rickard Stark. And he was burned alive by the mad king.

To some extent, Sansa Stark shares responsibility for Ned’s death. She was blinded by infatuation and mistook it for love for Joffrey. Hate him or love him, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is undeniably one of Zimbabwe’s sharpest political minds,a man who understands timing, silence, and strategy better than most. I might not be a fan of his leadership style or governance, but politically speaking, the way he outmaneuvered Robert Mugabe, the man who ruled Zimbabwe for nearly four decades, was nothing short of legendary. While it’s true that Mugabe was aging and perhaps losing his political edge, Mnangagwa’s patience and discipline stood out. Even when subjected to repeated humiliation by the former First Lady, Grace Mugabe, he maintained composure and restraint. His calmness was not weakness, it was calculated patience. He played the loyal servant while quietly studying the battlefield, waiting for the right moment to strike. What makes his strategy even more remarkable is that Mnangagwa understood the importance of timing in Zimbabwean politics. He knew when not to move. For instance, he deliberately distanced himself from earlier succession plots such as the Tsholotsho Declaration and even meetings allegedly held at Philip Chiyangwa’s offices, which were meant to position him for the presidency. Mnangagwa avoided attending these gatherings because he understood the political temperature of the time,that Zimbabwe was not yet ready for such a takeover and that any premature move would destroy him. Those who remember his interactions with Grace Mugabe will recall how he played the part of a humble subordinate, even flattering her publicly, making it seem as though she was the real power behind Mugabe. Hate him or love him, President Emmerson Dambudzo Mnangagwa is undeniably one of Zimbabwe’s sharpest political minds,a man who understands timing, silence, and strategy better than most. I might not be a fan of his leadership style or governance, but politically speaking, the way he outmaneuvered Robert Mugabe, the man who ruled Zimbabwe for nearly four decades, was nothing short of legendary. While it’s true that Mugabe was aging and perhaps losing his political edge, Mnangagwa’s patience and discipline stood out. Even when subjected to repeated humiliation by the former First Lady, Grace Mugabe, he maintained composure and restraint. His calmness was not weakness, it was calculated patience. He played the loyal servant while quietly studying the battlefield, waiting for the right moment to strike. What makes his strategy even more remarkable is that Mnangagwa understood the importance of timing in Zimbabwean politics. He knew when not to move. For instance, he deliberately distanced himself from earlier succession plots such as the Tsholotsho Declaration and even meetings allegedly held at Philip Chiyangwa’s offices, which were meant to position him for the presidency.
