🚨Cesc Fàbregas on Messi vs Mbappé for the Golden Boot: "Leo deserves everything if he leads Argentina to back-to-back World Cups. 🗣️ Cesc Fàbregas For me, Lionel Messi should be winning the Golden Boot. When at the goals, you have to look at the influence he has had on... every match. His goals, assists, creativity and the way he controls important moments for Argentina have been incredible. Mbappé has also been outstanding. He is a phenomenal player and his numbers speak for themselves, but Messi's impact goes beyond statistics. You can see how the whole team responds when he takes responsibility. If Messi can lead Argentina to two consecutive World Cup trophies, then honestly he deserves every individual award available. Best Player of the Tournament, Golden Boot, Ballon d'Or everything. We are talking about a player who is 39 years old and still deciding games at the highest level. What Messi is doing at this stage of his career is something we may never see again.show more

🚨Cubarsí on Rodri winning the Golden Ball over Messi “First of all, congratulations to Rodri. He had an incredible tournament and nobody can deny that. But if you ask me who deserved the Golden Ball after this World Cup, my answer is Lionel Messi.” “People cannot underplay what Messi did simply because Argentina didn't win the World Cup final. At 39 years old, he was still the best player in the tournament. Every time he stepped onto the pitch, he carried his nation and produced moments only he can create.” “I honestly think the way the Golden Ball is decided should change. Team results matter, but football is also about individual greatness. Rodri was fantastic, but for me, Messi was the best player of the tournament and deserved the Golden Ball.”

🚨Luis Enrique on why Fabián Ruiz deserves to win the Ballon d’Or: 🗣️ Luis Enrique: “When people talk about the Ballon d’Or, they immediately mention Mbappé, Dembélé, Olise, Kane, Yamal and Rodri, and of course they all deserve to be in the conversation. But for me, Fabián Ruiz deserves far more recognition than he is getting. “Look at his influence for us in the Champions League. He wasn’t simply a midfielder who completed passes and controlled possession. He scored important goals, arrived in dangerous areas and influenced games when the pressure was at its highest. In the biggest matches, he showed that he could take responsibility and change the outcome. “And with Spain, he has continued to prove his importance on the international stage. At the World Cup, he showed the same qualities his intelligence, his ability to control the tempo and, when the opportunity came, his ability to contribute goals and decisive moments. He isn’t a player who needs to dominate the headlines to dominate a football match. “Fabián has won the World Cup, the Euros, back-to-back Champions League titles and the Nations League, while playing an important role in successful teams. When you combine his trophies, his consistency, his performances for PSG and Spain and his influence in the biggest games, I don’t understand how you can leave him out of the Ballon d’Or conversation. “For me, the award should recognise the player who has influenced winning at the highest level,if Rodri could win it Fabián Ruiz has done exactly that and deserves to win it.”

🚨🗣️Zlatan Ibrahimović on best player award in the World Cup : "They spent years calling Messi 'FIFA's boy, but when he produced another historic World Cup, suddenly the standards changed." "If Rodri wins the Golden Ball after a tournament where he barely decided games, then tell me-what more dia Messi have to do? Score, assist, lead, create, carry his nation again? That's exactly what he did." "The World Cup Best Player award is for the player who defines the tournament, not for politics or popularity. If Messi doesn't win it after performances like that, then football owes people an explanation." "People cried 'FIFA protects Messi.' Yet when he deserved the award the most, he was the one left empty-handed. Football has a strange sense of irony."

Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr. in a recent interview opened up about how Lionel Messi ruined his career in Barca. He accused Messi of selfishness and claiming Messi repeatedly derailed his path to becoming the world’s best player. “Messi is a great player and teammate but he made my career miserable,” Neymar said. “I would have been the world best player but Messi was selfish enough to not allow me win anything.” When pressed on the much-hyped reunion at Paris Saint-Germain in 2021, where Neymar, Messi, and Kylian Mbappé were expected to form football’s ultimate superteam, Neymar said. “I went to PSG so that I can become the best player in the world but Messi came there too and ruined that too,” he continued. “He did the same with the Copa America when Argentina cheated to win the final in 2021.” Neymar’s pointed reference to the 2021 Copa América final—where Argentina defeated Brazil 1-0 on home soil—has ignited fresh controversy.

🚨 FLORENTINO PÉREZ ON THE 2026 BALLON D’O. 🎙️ Reporter: “Florentino, do you believe Kylian Mbappé deserves the 2026 Ballon d’Or?” 🗣️ Florentino Pérez: “For me, there is nothing to discuss. Mbappé is the right candidate and not by a small distance. By a huge distance. He had a fantastic season, delivered when Real Madrid needed him most, and then went to the World Cup and finished as the tournament’s top scorer. People can debate football all they want, but when you look at what this man has done on the biggest stage, the answer should be obvious. Messi did not do it. Ronaldo did not do it. Harry Kane did not do it. Other great players have had their moments, but Mbappé has shown that he can carry the expectations of an entire club and country. And let me be very clear: if Mbappé does not win this Ballon d’Or, then I will have serious questions about the criteria. Because every year we hear that the award is about performances, goals, trophies and impact. Fine. Then apply the same rules to Mbappé. I have enormous respect for Lamine Yamal and Raphinha. They are fantastic players, and I would be happy to have them at Real Madrid. But when you ask me who is the best candidate for the Ballon d’Or, I don’t hesitate. Mbappé. By distance. If people want to tell me otherwise, they need to explain what exactly they are rewarding. And if he loses despite everything he has achieved, Real Madrid supporters will naturally ask themselves: What more does a Real Madrid player have to do to win this award? I don’t want to talk about agendas. But if the best candidate keeps being overlooked, eventually people will start asking uncomfortable questions. For me, there is no debate. Kylian Mbappé deserves the 2026 Ballon d’Or.”

🚨 Harry Kane on the Golden Boot race with Messi and Mbappe 🎙️Reporter: "Harry, there’s a rumor buzzing around social media that the fans want you and Mbappé to essentially handshake a deal on the pitch—letting each other score a hat-trick just to steal the Golden Boot away from Lionel Messi. Any truth to that?" 🎙️ Harry Kane: "Nah, it’s just a joke, isn't it? Honestly, I couldn't care less about stories like that. Look, if I don't win the Golden Boot, I’d actually prefer to see Messi lift it. After seeing what Kylian did and how he reacted when he missed that penalty last World Cup... yeah, my vote would be with Messi."

Declan Rice on England’s approach to facing Argentina and Lionel Messi in a potential World Cup semi-final. 🗣️ “Let’s stop pretending everything Argentina do goes through Lionel Messi. If you let him dictate the game, you’ve already made your first mistake. Our job is to make sure he doesn’t get a second to breathe.” “People can talk about Argentina’s squad all they want, but when Messi isn’t controlling the match, they’re a completely different team. He’s the engine, the creator and the player everyone looks for when the pressure is at its highest.” “We aren’t walking onto that pitch to admire him or watch another highlight reel. We’ll be in his face from the first whistle. Every touch will be contested, every pass will be pressured and every yard will have to be earned.” “This is a World Cup semi-final, not a tribute to Lionel Messi. If he thinks he’s going to stroll around and control the game, he’s in for a shock. We’ll make it as uncomfortable as possible because that’s what winning demands.” “Respect is one thing, fear is another. We respect Messi because he’s one of the greatest to ever play the game. But once that whistle goes, reputation means nothing. We’re there to beat Argentina, and if we stop their biggest threat, we’ve given ourselves every chance of reaching the World Cup final.”

Alfie Haaland, the father of Manchester City forward Erling Haaland, gave a shocking reply when asked who is going to win the Ballon d’Or this season. 🗣️: “We all know the award is going to be gifted to Leo Messi, just like after the 2022 World Cup, when Messi had a pretty good tournament with the help of FIFA always giving him penalties. Despite my son having a better season winning the treble, being named the Premier League Player of the Season, finishing as the Premier League’s top goalscorer, and winning the European Golden Boot,he still fell short to Leo Messi because of a seven-game tournament, where most of the goals were penalties. Since he couldn’t win the World Cup this time, I’m sure FIFA will compensate him with the Ballon d’Or.”

This clip says so much about Messi’s character. He had just won his 7th Ballon d’Or. The entire night was supposed to be about him, yet during his own acceptance speech he looked at Robert Lewandowski and told him: “You deserve your Ballon d’Or. Everyone agreed that you were the winner last year. I think France Football should give you the 2020 Ballon d’Or. You deserve it.” Think about the humility required to do that. Messi was standing on the biggest individual stage in football, holding the biggest individual award, and instead of making everything about himself, he used his moment to recognize another player. And this has always been Messi. He won more Ballon d’Ors than anyone, broke ridiculous records, won everything possible and completed football, yet individual recognition was never an obsession for him. He never needed to constantly tell us he was the greatest. He never needed to campaign for awards or diminish somebody else to elevate himself. His football did the talking. For someone who had every reason in the world to have the biggest ego in football, Messi somehow remained one of its most humble superstars. That, to me, is another part of what makes Leo Messi so special. 🐐

Sergio “Kun” Agüero revealed in a livestream that Messi and the Argentina coach did clash after the World Cup final loss to Spain and also talked about how Messi’s teammates let him down. “I honestly didn’t like how things ended in the final with the national team, especially with Messi having a disagreement with Lionel Scaloni. Messi told me he had a clash with Scaloni over the coach’s tactics and how he handled the match. Messi told him there was no way they could sit back and let Spain have all the ball because they were going to lose that way, but the coach still insisted on playing a low block while waiting for a counter. I mean, who the hell goes against the words of the greatest player in the world? Messi sees the game differently, but the coach was too full of pride to follow his advice. Enzo’s challenge was very reckless. When you already have a yellow card, you still went for that type of tackle. Argentina had already lost the game before the final even kicked off, and it’s just so sad how Lionel Scaloni and the teammates let Leo down in his last World Cup after everything he has done for the national team.”

Manuel Neuer was asked to choose between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi as the best player, and this was his response: 🗣️ Manuel Neuer: “Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi are both monsters and great players. Of course, we all know they are two different types of players. I was privileged to play against both of them during my career, especially when they were in their prime, but I have to say I suffered more against Cristiano Ronaldo than Lionel Messi. No matter how tight or strong our defense was, he always found a way to score. I think he is the player who has scored more goals against me than any other player I’ve faced. Cristiano can score with his left foot, right foot, and head. He can score all types of goals and even create space for his teammates. So, for me, I would pick Cristiano Ronaldo over Lionel Messi because he’s just a different breed the most complete player I’ve ever seen.”

We’ve all seen this goal… but I never realized Mbappé never looks at the goal. This World Cup has revolved around one player more than anyone else - Kylian Mbappé. He has stepped up in the biggest moments, leading France with crucial goals while becoming one of the tournament’s most talked-about stars. His performances, celebrations, and presence on the pitch have fueled discussion after every match. To some, he is the face of football’s next generation. To others, he has become the tournament’s biggest villain. Either way, one thing is certain: whenever Mbappé takes the field, the world is watching.

Mario Icardi has reportedly spoken to sources about his own national team, Argentina, and Lionel Messi. "Messi is the reason I wasn't called up to the national team. He had a personal problem with me, but I couldn't care less. His ego and absolute control over Argentina are frustrating. And as for referee favors? It’s been obvious for years. We didn't deserve to reach the final, and if it weren't for certain refereeing decisions, we wouldn't have. I can't keep pretending or ignoring the truth when everyone saw it clearly."

When everything is on the line, he has that ability to produce something special. He turns up when his team needs him most.” “I’ve played with Cristiano, and I’ve seen it firsthand. Whether it was a goal, a header, a run, or simply inspiring the team, he delivered when it mattered.” “Messi is an extraordinary footballer, one of the greatest to ever play the game, but Ronaldo has that extra edge in decisive moments. He gives you that little bit more when the pressure is at its highest, and that’s what separates him for me.”

🚨Lionel Messi has finally come out to speak about the ongoing ballon d’or debate between Lamine yamal and kylian Mbappe 🗣️Lionel Messi “I think sometimes we put too much pressure on young players because of these individual awards. “Lamine is very young, Kylian is still young, and both of them have many years ahead of them to achieve great things. “Lamine has a great future in front of him. What he is doing at his age is special, but he shouldn’t feel like he has to prove every week that he deserves a Ballon d’Or. “He should enjoy football, keep working, keep learning and allow his career to develop naturally. “The same applies to Kylian. He has already achieved a lot and he will have many more opportunities. “These debates are part of football, but they can also create unnecessary pressure around players who still have so much time. “For me, the most important thing is what they can achieve over the next five, ten or fifteen years, not just who wins one award today. “If they continue with the same mentality and hard work, both can create incredible careers. “There will always be another Ballon d’Or. There will always be another season. “They shouldn’t allow one individual award to become bigger than their careers.”

So here's what happened. Boateng in a podcast with Rio said that in his old La Palmas interview he admitted that "Ronaldo is the best in this world but Messi is on top of him by being the best in the entire galaxy" and "Real Madrid" is his fav club & that when he joined Barca he said "Barca" is his fav club and "Messi" the best player. Ronaldo fans edited the part about Messi from the podcast and made it seem like he also lied about who he thinks is the better player when he joined Barca. Then Boateng in his latest interview ran with that lie for clicks and then the insecure man-child Ronaldo put in "laughing emojis" 'cause even as 50 year old he is constantly looking for validation. Here's his Las Palmas interview and the podcast clip.

🚨Luka Modrić: “I’m not a Barcelona fan, and I’ve never played for Barcelona, but what I witnessed today while playing against Spain left me with nothing but praise for Lamine Yamal. The boy is incredibly good and truly special. If he continues on this path, he has the potential to reach the level of Ronaldo and Messi. He has everything vision, passing, crossing, creativity, goals and assists. He possesses all the qualities needed to remain at the highest level for many years. And if he had a midfielder like Jude Bellingham alongside him in his team, he would be unstoppable. They would be an incredible combination. I actually wanted to get his shirt today because my first daughter loves him and talks about him every day. But when I went to get it, my teammate Ivan Perišić had already collected it. Maybe another day.”
