It just feels like we might get punished for having a 3rd loss more than SOS of quality wins or anything like that. Which is something we need to move away from. Not fair to those kids who earned some hard fought top 10 wins.

Bottom line is this: our H2H wins over 3 teams who will likely make the playoffs is trumped by our one OOC loss. The question is this: do you want that OOC game to be in the regular season or in the playoffs going forward? If so, you schedule practice teams OOC in regular szn.

There's no advantage over Alabama. They beat more ranked teams and they beat Georgia . Texas beat two ranked teams and lost to Georgia. Alabama played 5 ranked teams compared to 3 for Texas with a 6th game coming up.

You're forgetting the most important criteria, Texas has 3 losses. The teams you are comparing then to do not. You could whatabout anyone into the playoff if you try hard enough.

The benefit of scheduling tough games comes in actually winning those games. It’s risk versus reward. Despite the losses to Florida and UGA, you’d probably be ahead of OU and ND had you actually beat OSU. You are getting the benefit of being the highest ranked 3 loss team

Alabama Texas comp opp is a draw. UGA over Texas and Texas over OU. Bama has one less loss and a better win.

Don't have advantage over Bama in comp opponents. Yes they beat okie. Bama beat UGA thiugh which is a higher ranked opponent and more handily beat Vandy. Best possible thing you could say on comp opps with Bama is a push.
