Chamath and David Sacks start laughing at Jcal's $AAPL thesis: “I think $AAPL is a screaming buy right now. And that's not financial advice, but my Lord, that company could just run the table on AI if they get this right." “It’s just like the iPhone. Everybody laughed at... show more

laugh all you want, he's absolutely right

I think he’s right tbh Apple is AI agnostic in terms of what model wins, they just always have better hardware than everyone else Idk about unlimited tokens but I get his point

Those 2 idiots laughing alone makes me tempted to go buy Apple.

He's correct

I think he is right. Local inference is exciting.

These are the same dumb fucks who said Google was doomed a couple years ago

Although Apple seemingly fell into it, I think he’s right.

All their on device AI acquisitions, the fast track to M7 and 1.5 tb of ram I believe it was, and with a new CEO? They are being slept on.

What memory architecture?

hes talking about the m7 ultra chip which has a lot more memory than previous version

I don’t recall everyone laughing at the first iPhone. I recall the opposite.

ft @Jason @chamath @DavidSacks @theallinpod

J. Cal is probably right here.

We really need to get past the idea that apple is anything like the same company that made introduced the iphone

He is not wrong

I agree, 100%. It’s going to be a game changer and people don’t realize that yet but you do.

I think he's right though!

Jacl is right here. He will have the final laugh.

$AAPL not really going heavy into the whole AI bonanza has me thinking this may be a safe place.

Surprised they are laughing at him seems obvious they are going to capture lion share of the value if no other device comes around

I don't remember anyone laughing at the first iPhone, everyone who saw one wanted one

i dont think hes wrong

Apple is going to win the AI race by never being good at AI? That will be hilarious if it happens.

You cannot run anything worthwhile locally right now on 128gb and under.

Sacks has all of the insider advantages and is still a fucking moron. How is this even possible? Jason is right. In 1985, my first computer had 64 KILOBYTES of memory. That arc hasn't changed one bit. 128gb and higher is on the way, as soon as demand drives price, and manufacturing catches up. M7 is coming, and Apple is the play.

Can’t apple just take one of these open weight models that will be as good as fable jn year and customize and integrate into a m7/osx?

buyin $AAPL -2.50% off ATH's is wild bro

Consumers dont want pay for AI

$AAPL also spend remarkably low Capex and may be the one winning the AI game by not playing. $AAPL to 400.

Apple for sure has a strong outlook.
He’s not wrong

I think @Jason is right but he has also been talking shit about Apple's moves during this AI boom the whole time and has called them out multiple times on this podcast. He also has criticized @tim_cook saying he is not creative and doesn't know what to do other than continue what Steve Jobs plans were. I think clearly Apple's play has always been hardware and that AI will be a commodity that can run on smaller devices in the end and everyday we get closer and closer to that reality.

Do you think that's justified?

Lol then why would anyone need nvda and amd, Broadcom chips? Just stock data centers with millions of iPhone. You gotta know apple know how to do more with less, their software is good but hardware are not great. The m7 chip is good, but its compute is limited.

$AAPL is forever a good buy.

💯
