dokyeom cried while preparing for the album bc he was having a hard time 🥹 🐰 i was really having a tough time with my career 🐰 for me, it just felt overwhelming.. i hit a point where it just felt like a wall. but, in that moment, we had to get ready for the album. like, you're already doing so much but now you have to do something new again. tbh, i just felt like i couldn't do it. i felt like i couldn't do the album but seungkwan was really looking forward to the album so much so i wanted to do a good job for him, i wanna do well of course.

There’s so much invisible work that goes into a return to play that you guys don't get the opportunity to see and we don't even get the opportunities. I rolled in this morning getting ready for our staff meeting, and I was walking to the back, and he's already there at whatever time it was, 8:15, getting his PT work in. He was on the court by 8:30. 040826 | #CHANYEOL IG LIVE “ Wait, no one’s doing a live for anniversary? The members aren’t doing it? That’s kind of disappointing… Anyway, we’ve reached our 14th debut anniversary now. Wow 14 years. It sounds like just a number, but it feels really strange. First of all, I want to say thank you so much for loving us so consistently over these 14 years. Honestly, rather than us being the ones receiving congratulations, I feel like I want to congratulate you instead. Congratulations! It’s been 14 years, it’s our 14th anniversary! And these days, well, not the day after tomorrow, but in three days . . . wait, actually it is the day after tomorrow, right? The concert starts the day after tomorrow. Today we even went somewhere far and rented a really big hall to rehearse the stage movements. We practiced a lot together today, sang a lot too. Yesterday, the day before yesterday, we’ve just been stuck together, practicing nonstop. So I hope you’re really looking forward to this concert too, and once again, happy 14th anniversary. I think it’s going to be really fun. The members have been dropping spoilers and stuff, but for me . . . it’s really because you’ve been there for us that we were able to reach this 14th anniversary. TAP by TAEYONG was introduced as one of the best songs of the first half of 2024 in MUVE music magazine podcast jung minjae (music critic): the song i recommend is TAP by taeyong. it was released on february 26 and was his second mini album. he released such a great album, but then he went off to the military right after releasing it, which was a shame. to be honest, at the time, i worked really hard to try to get him to appear on our show MUVE, but his enlistment date was too close. by the time the album came out, it was already impossible to make it happen. although we couldn’t have him on the show in the end, i can’t help but think how amazing it would’ve been if he had more time to release the album and carry out a variety of promotions leisurely. after all, taeyong created this entire album himself. every song is self-composed. when you think of nct, there’s often a perception that their music is difficult, abstract, and not easy to approach. but this album retains taeyong's unique color while also being very appealing to a wider audience. it’s such a well-balanced work that strikes the perfect balance between artistry and appeal, and it’s such a great performance piece as well. i think TAP is one of the standout achievements in k-pop dance music this year. and the fact that it’s self-composed makes it even more remarkable. i really hope we get to meet taeyong next time!
