Thank you! Continuity is a daily battle 😅 I keep reference images for every character, location and prop, plus a map of the clues, the story’s direction and each character’s psychology. It’s become an insane system I revisit before every chapter so I don’t get lost! 🤣🤣🤣

That daylight reversal lands because the VFX is serving the story, not trying to be the story. Keep the physical continuity around him tight, and the image can stay strange without losing the scene.

NIGHTBORNE is the first full test AI film I have made. It was made using Seedance 2.0. It was made with real concept artists, and features the faces and voices of 32 real people. It is made entirely with AI, and although it is not perfect, it still has some inconsistencies, it is a demonstration that with the tools available it is possible to create an animated short film that is almost professional and worthy of competing in a film festival. The script is made with ChatGPT, based on Coraline. The images in Midjourney, using the --sref and --cref parameters. Animations in Runway, music and sound effects in Pixabay, voiceover in , and editing in CapCut. 👉 I won't deny that it takes hours of work and requires dedication and artistic insight, but the important thing is that now anyone can create a short film from home. I'm playing around with generative AI tools and stitching them together into visual stories. Here I took the first few sentences of Pride and Prejudice and made it into a video. The gen stack used for this one: - Anthropic Claude took the first chapter, generated the scenes and the individual prompts to to the image generator. - Ideogram took the prompts and generate the images - Luma took the images and animated them - for narration - VEED | AI Video Creation to stitch it together (Many of these choices are just what I happened to use for this one while exploring a bunch of things). Anyway honestly it was pretty messy and there is a ton of copy pasting between all of the tools, and even this little video with 3 scenes took me about an hour. There is a huge storytelling opportunity here for whoever can make this convenient. Who is building the first 100% AI-native movie maker?

AI can give actors jobs, not replace them. Many years ago, I was lucky to work on the LucasArts game "Full Throttle" by TimOfLegend. I worked on the opening cinematic (back then called cutscenes!), and it was always one of my favorite games of that era, and the one I felt had the most potential to be a film. It felt like a movie. A few weeks ago, I had an idea for a new FilmSpark.ai demo: a biker bar scene. Then I said, "Hey, let's make it the bar from Full Throttle!" Just for fun. That's when I was pointed to the Peter screenplay for Full Throttle. It was cool to see someone else thought this had film potential too. After reading the screenplay, and seeing how he kept the opening cinematic mainly intact, we decided to make a proof-of-concept AI teaser, recreating the opening cinematic as accurately as we could. We used the original audio for authenticity. Hamilton Camp's Corley felt a little cartoonish on the AI character, which was weird but cool. Mark Hamill's Ripburger worked even better. Our goal is something becoming very common in Hollywood right now: using AI to create a sizzle trailer to get a film funded. Think of it as the new graphic novel. We want to use AI to get a film greenlit with real actors, shot on location, and use AI for VFX as needed. To be clear, we are not advocating for an "AI Full Throttle film." This is one way Hollywood is using AI, behind the scenes.
