Charles Bassey was surprised by how wide open he was while playing with Steph Curry: “To be honest, man, I was so wide open. They were telling me that because after I got the dunk and they got a timeout, GP was telling me, ‘Yo, I know you didn’t...

Marshawn Lynch says he asked for Russell Wilson's phone number, but Russ called him from a blocked number “I had a situation. We were playing against Tennessee, and their secondary wasn't good. We were supposed to throw the ball for 500 yards or some shit like that. Russ didn't have the game that he wanted. After the game, I did pretty good, 2 tugs, 150 rushing, another 50 receiving” “I reached out to our player personnel dude and was like, ‘Hey man, let me get Russ' number. He said, Alright, I'll call you back.’ He called me back like, ‘Did you get a call?’ I'm like, ‘No.’ He was like, ‘Russ just said he called you.’ I'm like, ‘No, I got a call from a blocked number.’ He was like, ‘Oh, that's him.’ I don't know if he blocked it or how it worked. I just know I got a call from a blocked number” “So when I call back, I'm just like, ‘Hey bro, I'm calling you as a teammate. I'm telling you straight up, I'm calling you on some real shit.’ I think this was the first time that I actually tried to have a conversation with bro. ‘I know you didn't have the game that you wanted to have. That's what I'm here for. We got to be there for each other. I'm here for you. You here for me’” “His response to me was kind of like, ‘What the fuck...’ So I told him again, ‘No bro, I'm letting you know, I'm here for you. We gonna rock, you know what I mean.’ His response was the same. I mean, we on the same team, going for the same goal, and this was how you chose to respond to me”

Denzel Washington’s epic monologue towards the end of Training Day was largely improvised on set. Director Antoine Fuqua was so blown away by his performance, he says he thinks he "forgot to yell cut”. He explains… “That’s Denzel. He was just in his zone. I mean, that was one of those moment...people talk about AI. Those are the moments where you go...it's a great tool. It's gonna be a great tool, I think...but the emotion, and the moment that an actor can bring - you can't predict that. That's something that's just inside of Denzel. And when that came out, I was just like - I hope I got it. I just turned to my operator - who was shaking- I looked over at the guy - I was like, “please tell me you got that.” Because that was the take. That was it. There was no other take - I mean, how do you tell an actor like that, that that wasn't good enough? …He walked over to me, and he just had this look in his eyes. I was like, “you good?” He said, “you good?” I said, “Yeah…” Some of that was in the script, but he flipped it the way he did it. "Putting cases on all you." He kind of added some things in there. And then he just went into a whole other zone with the whole King Kong thing- with Pelican Bay - Denzel started that. That was Denzel. That was him, man. He just kind of lit up, and I think I forgot to yell cut. I was just watching it, because everybody started walking away, and I'm just watching him, and then he lights a cigarette - and he's talking - and I'm just watching him. I think at some point he probably looked at me like, you going to cut? And I'm like, “oh yeah, yeah, cut.” He was still in it. That's the thing with Denzel. He was so Alonso…I'm just watching him for a while because I didn't know what else he was going to do. It was just so magical. And then I think he looked up at me and I was like, “Okay, cut, cut.”

Davante Adams says he plugged his ears so the Packers couldn’t talk him into staying, then signed a $141,000,000 deal with the Raiders making him the highest-paid WR in the NFL at the time Shannon: “You was out of there. You felt they slapped you in your face by not giving you what you had earned up until that point, made you play, put you and your family at risk, and then once you come out on the other side, they say, “Dawg, we knew you could do it, here you go, bro” Adams: “And then, but the biggest thing was that I didn’t hear anything after that. So I basically was already la-la-la-la-la, you know, once the season ended. But there was no follow-up, there wasn’t a lot of talks going on. I didn’t know, there was nothing for almost two months” “And I’m thinking, okay, well, I must just be a regular dude to them, so I’m about to go. And then they think that, you know, tagging me was the next op, after basically playing for Lloyd’s on the tag the year before that. So I’m like, this is obviously not it” “And they was, I don’t know if they was calling my bluff, or just, you know, whatever the idea was, but it just wasn’t working for me. So I just had to plug my ears before I heard a number that made my ass want to stay” Shannon: “And ‘cause you’d heard that number first, like, ‘Okay, I forgive y’all’, hold on, you said what?” Adams: “I just said, ‘Look, we’re going to nip this in the bud, this is what I think is best.’ You know, it end up working out for the Packers, they got a couple good players out of it as well. It is what it is”
