Charles Mingus Live in '64, Erik Dolphy - solo.

@billevansfan251 @billevansfan251 this is the DVD that I have!!!!

I wish that I could appreciate this. This area of jazz has always been beyond me.

Charles Mingus Summertime, love it!

Mingus' Europe workshop April '64. Dannie Richmond (drums) and Clifford Jordan (tenor) in the clip. Eric didn't return home. Died 29 June that year, but left a legacy we can still appreciate now. RIP.

弓弾き、めちゃ上手。

I was at a show at the Joyus Lake in Woodstock in 76. I was a young bassist at the time. Mingus walked in and started playing the piano 10' from me. I almost soiled myself!!!!

Is this live Paris 1964 ?

Managed to listen to the clip just now! Another great post, Oleg 🎶
