I was born in Belarus. I am a Slavic white person and I am American. Some of my ancestors were serfs which is similar to slaves. They got freedom at approximately same time as slaves did in America. Now tell me.. do I owe Black people any reparations?

As a black man I ask why we never first looked at Africa our homeland for reparations first. We were slaves there first captured in tribal warfare and sold to the Europeans and Spaniards. Yes some were captured but not as much as traded. So we must become independent and seek our own destinations.

Sick of them begging and thriving on pity. That’s why I judge them to have no merit.

If we gave the descendants of slaves say 1M each, 90% of them would be broke with 2 years and asking for more. We've been giving reparations for 60 years and in every measurable way Black American's are worse off.

Jewish people are receiving reparations from people who had no part in anything that happened to them... Us. White people like Charlie benefit from the slavery that happened and Black people are still suffering the effects of slavery and Jim Crow laws. Simple.

Terrible logic. The US gov't pays reparations, it doesn't come from individual citizens. It comes from taxes and we've never had the choice on what taxes fund. Also the US gov't agreed reparations should be paid and there's precedence for it.

Of course not. You cannot ask a man to pay for the sins of his father for one. For two, reparations are insanely stupid because you'd have to payback every single race of people in the world. Everyone would. The amount of slavery that went on, like you don't understand.

America helped to permanently end the age old practice of human slavery through the sacrifice of hundreds of thousand white males dying for the freedom of African Americans. This was a humanity problem not unique to America.
