🔴 Wow. Listen to this. Now I'm even being mentioned live on The Charlie Kirk Show by Michael Knowles, Andrew Kolvet, and Blake Neff - framing me as maybe not being a real person again. While calling all of us "lunatics." I can only repeat myself: this is such a shame. The way they're going about this is intellectually dishonest, to say the least. The way they strawmanned the critical arguments against Vance. The way they framed people opposing their defense of Vance as bots. And now they're continuing that here by claiming only they knew Charlie Kirk and that Charlie would have defended JD Vance if he were still alive. They're using their personal relationship with him for political leverage on Vance's behalf. This is sad because I still think - and I will repeat - that Charlie's position on Israel was clear, and so was his stance against people attacking Israel. I don't believe he would have accepted Vance's recent attacks on Israel without question. I'll link the 15-minute video of Vance's attacks on Israel below. Charlie isn't here anymore and can't speak for himself. I don't like bringing him into this debate either. But for the record: Andrew Kolvet started it. Andrew came into my comments and said, "Charlie was a massive supporter of JD" as if that could never have changed, and as if Charlie were incapable of changing his mind or reevaluating his views based on new information, such as Vance's recent attacks on Israel. They are abusing Charlie's legacy to help make Vance president in 2028. They act as if Charlie had no principles, especially when it came to Israel. They also act as if he could never have changed his mind and called out people - even those he once liked - when they suddenly turned against Israel. As if there weren't already a precedent for exactly that: Candace Owens.

Just after winning the 2006 Golden Globe Award for Best Actor in a Motion Picture Drama (Capote), Philip Seymour Hoffman explained the approach that helped him reach the top of his profession. In reply to a question about what advice he’d give to aspiring actors, Hoffman said, “This is something a teacher told me years ago, and he’s right: even if you’re auditioning for something that you know you’re never going to get or for something you read and didn’t like—if you get a chance to act in a room that somebody else has paid rent for, then you’re given a free chance to practice your craft. And in that moment, you should act as well as you can.” “Because when you act as well as you can,” Hoffman says, “there’s no way the people who have watched you will forget it.” So it leads to opportunities, but more importantly, “at the end of the day, all that matters is the work. Everybody knows that. If I show up one day and the work I’m doing isn’t any good, then I’m just a guy who’s not acting well… So I would say it to anybody starting out: if you’re given a chance to act, take those words and bring them alive. Coppola had to fight to cast Marlon Brando as Vito Corleone in The Godfather. At the time, the studio saw Brando as “box office poison.” What finally sold them was his legendary screen test, where he transformed into the Don right in front of their eyes. Coppola explains: "I remember in one meeting, I was told by the then president of Paramount - "As president of Paramount Pictures, I am telling you that Marlon Brando will not appear in this motion picture." So I continued talking and arguing, and finally, they agreed to let me discuss the idea of Marlon Brando being in the movie if I honored three stipulations. A - he would do a screen test. B - he would do the film for free. (he would get a back-end deal) And C - he would put up a bond so that if any of his shenanigans or any trouble came from him being on the set, that it would guarantee the losses. So I said, - "Okay, I accept” - What could I do? I accepted these three things from Marlon. So I then called up Marlon Brando and suggested, "Maybe it’d be nice if I did like a little makeup test or something? But I can’t think of anything that would fill his heart and make him prouder than the generation he inspired to pick up the torch and carry it forward. To continue this mission he gave his life for to speak the truth and to fight against evil, to fill the hearts of the world with courage and the love of God. This is the Turning Point of our time. I don’t even know if Charlie intended for that name to pack such a punch, and maybe it seems even more important now, but amid the expected and disgusting hate comments in the wake of Charlie’s death, I am floored and inspired all over again by the thousands of posts I’ve seen from our generation saying that this is their personal awakening to get in the arena, to be on the frontlines of this culture war, and to speak out in courage no matter what the backlash that comes next might look like. There's a Pew poll of Egypt where 82% said stoning was the appropriate punishment for adultery, and over 80% thought death was appropriate for leaving Islam. So to claim this religion is like other religions is naive and wrong. Saudi Arabia has also beheaded people for nonviolent crimes, including homosexuality. We're upset when ISIS beheads people, as we should be, but Saudi Arabia does it too, and they're our friends because they have oil. This is the centre of the religion. In Mecca, non-Muslims aren't even allowed into the holy part of the city. If people were being beheaded in Vatican City, don't you think there'd be a bigger outcry? This is the soft bigotry of low expectations. When Muslim people do or believe things we consider extreme, it's somehow not discussed nearly as much.
