Continuous noise is ok, music playing, leaves russling in the wind but when it is silent & someone makes a noise it's distracting. Imagine sitting in silence & someone snaps there fingers or drops something you flinch, now that happens while swinging a club, you flinch.

not so much about absolute silence, more of the change between the two. I’m a weekend warrior and no way even close to a pro golfer, buddies yak in my swing all the time. No big deal, but when it goes from silence to whatever at the top of the swing it breaks the concentration

As others have stated, it's much more about going from quiet to a random noise out of nowhere. Consistent noise is not a big deal

Haha....tremendous build to the payoff. Well done. (Seriously though I basically agree...no skilled golfer needs silence. It's the suddenness of the noise that usually throws people off. A noise amidst the silence is way worse than jus general noise).

Maybe cyz hes a young fucking kid and shudnt have to deal with it. …. Maybe its not silence hes looking for but he shud be able to swing the club without ppl snapping cameras he didnt ask for this attention hes not a pro

IF golfers concentrated on their ball, “noise” shouldn’t be such a distraction! It’s all what one gets use to. I can block it all out! Not a professional but maybe they should try practicing with noise. Some make too much of it.
