The financier of "Monster" (2003) had no idea what movie they were making. He thought he was making a "hot Charlize Theron, Christina Ricci, lesbian love, sex movie". It’s amazing,” she said. During the grueling production of Mad Max: Fury Road (2015), Charlize Theron accidentally elbowed Tom Hardy in the face, reportedly breaking his nose. Theron was wearing a green arm cast at the time, which allowed VFX artists to digitally remove her forearm later. Hardy’s jacket was also a replica heavily based on Mel Gibson’s original Mad Max jacket, while Theron shaved her head for Furiosa, forcing her to wear a wig for A Million Ways to Die in the West (2014). The extreme physical commitment from both actors helped give Fury Road its raw, authentic intensity.

The lyrics (which I have included below) are based on a phrase by King Francis I of France, "Souvent femme varie, bien fol qui s'y fie." ("Women are fickle, and who trusts them is a fool"). Victor Hugo used this phrase verbatim in his play, Le roi s'amuse, on which Rigoletto is based. Woman is flighty. Like a feather in the wind, she changes in voice and in thought. 🏳️‍⚧️ happy international trans day of visibility!! i love you. today i want to reintroduce ha jina, the first openly trans korean celebrity. she starred in films like mascara (1995), which is the first film with a trans lead at the forefront. a short film about her transition was later released in 1996. unfortunately many of her films and interviews are considered lost media, but that does not erase the fact that she was a pioneer in queer korean film.
