Chazington sums up John Walkers perception pretty well imo:

This discourse is even funnier to me considering the original video starts like this:

The guy decapitated a surrendering man with the symbol of Captain America it’s not difficult to understand he’s not fit for the role

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. There’s a difference between killing in a fight and beating a surrendering person who was already down for the count to death in public.

@muncherofbricks It's literally a police brutality analogue, it was the wrong guy even, and using the word terrorist is the clearest form of creating a detachment for the sake of the argument because the word has implications. "It's not a big deal!! He was a scary foreign terrorist!!"

Tbf, having the new Captain America kill a man in public with no due process would spark a large reaction from the world

Media literacy is failing

it’s treated so badly because of Walker’s intent. It’s completely going against the idea of Captain America as a whole and Walker knowingly killing someone for revenge after they already surrendered is pretty evil knowing that Captain America is supposed to be a symbol of hope

bro completely missed the point of the scene when have you ever seen an avenger decapitated someone in public especially captain america with all he stands for

He decapitates an unarmed man who surrendered.

Captain America killing is different than the Guardians killing, that would be like saying it’s ok for Spider-Man to brutally murder a guy because the Punisher also does it …different characters
