HOLY SHIT! California Democrats just KILLED a bill that would have barred registered sex offenders from running for public office. People convicted of sex crimes, including rape, can still run for office under current law. That includes positions on school boards, city councils, and even state legislatures.

California Sen. Scott Wiener just voted down a bill to ban registered sex offenders from holding public office, comparing them to people with “flaws” and referring to their offenses as “minor crimes.” WTAF?!

🚨 WTF?! California State Sen. Scott Wiener (D) just helped DEFEAT a bill that would've blocked registered s*x offenders from holding public office Wiener said it's "dangerous" because the crimes aren't a huge deal, and that some people just have "flaws" This guy needs to be looked into 🤯

For the past few weeks I’ve been vocally opposed to sex offenders running for office. Somehow there are corners of the internet where people think a diversity of people running for office in our country is equally abhorrent to sex offenders running for office. I think people like Fleccas 🇺🇸 lost the plot. I love this city and our country enough to fight for it to be better. I hope you’ll join my campaign as we defeat all of these narratives.

Right now in California, convicted sex offenders can hold public office, including on school boards. I introduced amendments to AB 2691 that would have banned all convicted sex offenders from holding public office. No tiers. No carve-outs. No exceptions. On a party-line vote, the majority rejected them, protecting a loophole that lets some convicted sex offenders still serve, including on school boards. Every Californian deserves to know their local officials aren't convicted predators. My colleagues had the chance to guarantee that. They chose not to.

Did you catch that? 👀 President Trump teases that he may not be leaving office for a very looong time “We’ll have a big percentage of the chip business by the time I leave office, which could be a long time, who knows— they say two and a half years, we’re going to find out.” Reeeeeeeeeeee!

🚨 NOW: Gov. Ron DeSantis reveals Florida has so much money they will ABOLISH property taxes for primary homeowners, then form a state-level grant fund for local governments who need it for police, fire, and more BRILLIANT! Every state should do this! 🇺🇸 "Because we have surplus at the state level, we are creating a fund that will be able to issue grants to local governments. So if you really say, you know, you need help with a fire or a sheriff's department or education, we'll have grants that we're going to be able to do that for this period." "But what's going to happen is this is going to increase the economic base of all these local areas, because people are going to have more money in their pocket." "They're going to start getting more revenue from existing taxes without having to add new taxes, and they're going to end up in a very stable situation very shortly."

Mamdani: “Who are you accountable to? When you run for office you have to fundraise for your campaign, and who you choose to accept money from says a lot...” Now that we know that CAIR, a terror-linked org, financed most of his campaign, we know exactly to whom Mamdani will be accountable.
