Credit to the eloquent speakers who raised a number of points which resonated with the crowd. Paul Quigley's speech about the Board draining the joy out of being a Celtic fan rung particularly true. Only element missing was the fact there was no mention of what would happen if the Board were ousted. Peter Lawwell and Michael Nicholson look rather nonplussed as chants of "Sack the Board" yet again ring out round Celtic Park during today's game against Livingston - this time accompanied by Green Brigade banners highlighting various issues. Surely the Board can no longer persevere with the "bury their heads in the sand" approach. What's required is a strong statement of intent in the shape of a few quality signings.

There was much debate on social media in the lead up to today's Celtic - Falkirk game as to the merits of the Green Brigade \ Bhoys "Get Up, Stand Up" campaign - in terms of blocking the view of those unable to stand. As it transpires, using an entirely unscientific guestimate, I reckon that approximately 87.5% of the support remained seated during the match. Kudos to the ultras for coming up with ideas to improve the atmosphere but I reckon too many fans are set in their ways - not helped by the team's performance for long spells of the game, which actually appeared to drain the energy from the support.

"Provisional" Green Brigade turn their backs on the Remembrance Sunday one-minute silence before today's Celtic - Kilmarnock game. With the Silence and the Poppy being hijacked for political purposes over recent years, it could be argued that this is a legitimate form of protest however the booing that followed (and not necessarily from those in the North Curve as it wasn't possible to hear where it emanated from) could be considered disrespectful to the thousands of Celtic fans who did want to honour the Silence's original meaning i.e. in remembrance of their forefathers who gave the ultimate sacrifice during the Great War hence the phrase "Lest we forget".

Rangers v Celtic - Game-Plan No matter your opinions on Clements' Style of Play, there is a game-plan & method to how we approach games. Before we start, it's absolutely not the football style I like watching, I much prefer playing out from the back & breaking through lines to create phased attacks. Rangers Yesterday: - Go Direct with Numbers in the Attack - Collect 2nd Balls in Dangerous Areas - Let Celtic have the Ball & Press on Inverted FB Trigger Jack Butland Distribution ----------------------------- - 27 Long Ball's Yesterday - 5 Were Successful - 3 Were Picked up 2nd Balls and Attacks A Punt in the 2nd Half directly contributed to the Celtic Goal & for me the decision-making is either suspect or the Manager wants us to not play/overplay. Raskin and Diomande are always wanting to show & get on the ball but seem to constantly be ignored. Diomande & The Press --------------------------- Very clear that yesterday Diomande & Raskin were given a dual role: - Man-Mark The Celtic 8s - Jump to Press on Inverted FB - That was the trigger for the goal When it works, it's great but it does demand they both cover 13.5km+ per 90 which seems extreme with midweek demands. Wonderful and very friendly atmosphere at Selhurst Park Crystal Palace F.C. yesterday for the final game of the season. Wonderful to see Ebere back at the ground where he got a wonderful reception. Congratulations to Arsenal on lifting the trophy for the first time in 22 years. However, I do have an idea for the Premier League …. As Palace season ticket holders we were told under no circumstances were we to swap our tickets and let Arsenal fans have them. Indeed, if we were found to have done that we would be denied season tickets for next year. Completely understandable as I’m sure there were safety concerns. Not surprising though that we were actually surrounded by Arsenal fans pretending to be Palace fans by either wearing Palace shirts or plain white tops for the match only to take them off and replace them with Arsenal shirts they had in their pockets at the end of the game! Now I’m not complaining about what the fans did at all. They were wonderful, friendly and even joined in on “Glad All Over” and applauded the Palace team, players and Oliver Glasner at the end of the game. We got lots of “Good luck in Leipzig” wishes from them too. It was a really friendly atmosphere. But I completely understand their frustration at how hard it was to get tickets for many who were lifelong Arsenal supporters. Chatting with them they said that 2400 seats available for sale. 1200 kept by Arsenal for themselves so only 1200 seats available for the match where they were going to be presented with the trophy. No wonder lots of fans did all they could to get tickets any way possible. So here is a suggestion for the Premier League for next season when working out the fixtures….. Realistically there are probably only 4 or 5 teams who will possibly win the league next year. So why not make sure all those teams have a home game as their final game of the season? In that way the tens of thousands of supporters who go to every home game will have the opportunity to see their team lift the trophy and actually be there rather than having to watch it later on TV? Surely that can’t be too difficult to arrange and if all the potential winners have a home game as their final match there is no unfair advantage towards any of those sides? What do you think? The World Cup group stages brought joy to people around the world - but we must not forget about the human rights perspective. While teams went head-to-head in stadiums across Canada, the US and Mexico, ICE arrests doubled, many fans and athletes on the US travel ban list were denied entry to the country to watch the games, and players and fans were victims of racism. We still have time to make this a World Cup for all, and there must be change beyond the games. Mass detentions and deportations must end, and the US must become a place free from discrimination and hate. We called and continue to call for no fear, no crackdowns and no excuses as we hit the quarter-finals. Make the World Cup an arena of joy, not fear. Humanity Must Win.

There was a certain inevitability about the "Sack the Board" chants ringing round Celtic Park both during and after tonight's bitterly disappointing Champions League qualifier against Kairat Almaty. Presumably there are valid reasons why our vast war-chest hasn't yet been breached. It would be unprofessional to reveal failed bids or a player's reluctance to move to Glasgow, which probably adds to the frustration experienced by most fans. What really exacerbates the situation is the total lack of communication from the Club at a Senior Level. We need Michael Nicolson to stand up and be counted - telling the support that we have been, and will be, active in the transfer market - even if he can't go into detail - rather than this deafening and, quite frankly, unacceptable silence.

The Miami Heat are still out there the last I heard trying to make moves to improve their offer to MIL. They have an offer that is a blend of players and picks, it’s sorta a hybrid offer…. Alternative angle of the Calmac stramash, with Trusty playing the part of peacemaker, shooing away Barron & the odious Moore in the manner a schools ref would dismiss an unruly kid. It's at times like these I wish Celtic had a Roy Keane "hard man" type in the team. I'm not one to condone violence but there were plenty of Rangers players just asking for a slap across the puss during this incident. Our current squad are a bit on the wimpy side when it comes to that sort of thing. NOTE: no offence to anyone who identifies as a wimp.

I’ve been to 30+ stadiums, I’ve seen playoff games in all four major sports… What I just witnessed Knicks fans do in Cleveland is unlike anything I’ve ever seen before. “LETS GO KNICKS” chants broke out and they were so loud that Rocket Arena turned the volume up on the speakers to drown them out. Analytically speaking (😉) when I saw a $79 ticket on TickPick and pulled the trigger, I figured Knicks would be in the building - that was an underestimation. There may have been MORE KNICKS FANS than Cavs fans. At tip off. Getting the “nah nah nah hey hey hey goodbye” at your own arena… AT THE END OF THE THIRD QUARTER… is nuts. That doesn’t happen. When you’re in the bathroom at a game and hear cheers you assume the home team is doing something great right? At this game, those blind cheers were for the Knicks. MGK (Cleveland born) tried hyping up the Cavs fans and told them to show Knicks fans the door… He was met with more boos from the Knicks fans than cheers from Cavs fans. Wasn’t even close. Cavs missed a free throw at home, and the crowd CHEERED. This was one of the most unbelievable fan spectacles I’ve ever seen in my life.

There may have been MORE KNICKS FANS than Cavs fans. At tip off. Getting the “nah nah nah hey hey hey goodbye” at your own arena… AT THE END OF THE THIRD QUARTER… is nuts. That doesn’t happen. When you’re in the bathroom at a game and hear cheers you assume the home team is doing something great right? At this game, those blind cheers were for the Knicks. MGK (Cleveland born) tried hyping up the Cavs fans and told them to show Knicks fans the door… He was met with more boos from the Knicks fans than cheers from Cavs fans. Wasn’t even close. Cavs missed a free throw at home, and the crowd CHEERED. This was one of the most unbelievable fan spectacles I’ve ever seen in my life.
