🧋Tidbit News: In a wild Chicago showdown on October 10, 2024, Dayanne Figueroa was yanked from her car by ICE gents. From the longer video clip sourced from the GoFundMe, it shows cars blocking the ICE vehicle, then as it tried to maneuver away, Dayanne’s vehicle speeds toward it, her vehicle then got rammed by the ICE vehicle. This leading to her being dragged out. She denies any wrongdoing, claiming rights violations and no charges filed, while DHS counters that she blocked their op, struck their vehicle, and kicked agents during resistance. This changes everything.. literally! Made a small game on my PS5 in Dreams.. and added a bit of AI. Now, do I think every game should be made by this.. of course not. But I can see this as being a very useful way to ensure visual consistency across a project and to save resources on the final layer of finish that is often so costly. More focus on gameplay, design, storytelling. Check out the🧵for the original and some of my favorite transformations. Done using Runway Gen 3 ofc! #gamedev #ai

🧠 This farmer came up with a surprisingly clever way to deal with rats in his field. After noticing they were damaging his crops, he used a homemade blower to send chili smoke through their underground tunnels. As the smoke spread, the rats started running out from different openings. By watching where the smoke appeared, he was able to figure out how the tunnels were connected and waited at the exits to catch the rats as they came out. It is impressive to see the amount of thought that went into solving the problem using simple tools and careful observation. Have you ever seen a method like this before? 🤔

One issue for the Tesla Tesla Robotaxi team when it comes to vehicle arrival & communicating with the passenger, especially if the passenger is blind, is where the car eventually stops. In this case, the car had to drive further than the original pickup point because of parked cars along the roadway, but this meant a much farther walk for the passenger & this was not immediately obvious to Konnie, who is blind & cannot see the displayed information on the app. There is an opportunity to make improvements, perhaps with xAI Grok integration to use verbal communication to help mitigate issues like this. Check it out!

Episode 3 In this scene a tall rocket falls toward a moving barge and lands using only a throttle knob and gimballed engine. We make it unfair on purpose by using crosswind gusts to shove the vehicle. The barge drifts and gently tilts so the target keeps sliding. Actuator lag and hard limits clamp the gimbal and throttle. A slosh-like internal wobble kicks in late and tries to phase-lag the controller into oscillations. You see the controller ride all these.

This husband had just come back from picking up photos for his wife. He parks (kind of) and gets out and then sees his car take off. He didn’t put it in park. Not going to be a good day. The car rolls down, takes out the support beam to his pool patio and continues down into the woods by their house. Poor guy, as he looks on in disbelief, he throws the photos in the garbage can and not his trash. The wife comes out and she is in disbelief too. Could have been worse, it could have went into the pool. 💯 In his defense, it’s a push button and it doesn’t have to be in park to be turned off. He used to drive another vehicle that would automatically put the vehicle in park when the car was turned off by the push button. This one doesn’t do that unfortunately. 😬 How does the insurance handle this? Do you think the manufacturer of these cars bears some of the blame of all these kinds of accidents we see of these cars rolling down without being put in park or is it solely on the human being owner?
