Check out this cool encoder I found (on sale!) at LCSC Electronics. I love the idea of a mechanical part that just spits out binary, especially when the pins are nicely in order like this.

Oh also while I'm here chopping up video, here's bonus DOOM. (yes it's fake and just a series of hand-drawn frames, maybe someone will get inspired to write a game engine that's not a blurry mess on 14x30 weirdly spaced pixels)

Also there's been some recent breakthroughs in Jumperless V5's routing algorithm

I love these Minecraft Lego sets, especially the figures and the little enderman! Click an image below or see them all at:

@ElectronicsLcsc I am in love with this breadboard

@ElectronicsLcsc Me too. I'm biased because I've spent the last 5 years working on it.

@ElectronicsLcsc sick!!

@ElectronicsLcsc What does the encoder do if it's exactly between two values? No value or fluttering between the two values?

@ElectronicsLcsc I don't think it's doing make-before-break. At least I couldn't hold it a place where it disconnects everything (the detents are pretty damn strong.) Kinda makes sense for the situation where these are generally used.

@ElectronicsLcsc Link to breadboard?

@ElectronicsLcsc Gotchu fam. (Full disclosure, I'm the guy making them.)

@ElectronicsLcsc Insanely cool

@ElectronicsLcsc Thanks man! Yeah it's a fun project.
