Academy Sports has Flock cameras out front. They've scanned your plates, will be checking to see if you leave the store with any firearms, and are listening to your phone by Bluetooth. And it is NOT being done for your safety.

@Jason2bartlett If the purpose was just to deter crime, they could use commercial CCTV systems. No, Flock does far more than that. Every Flock user agrees to allow any data they collect to be shared by local police with any other government agencies the local police choose. For ANY purpose.

I was born and raised US. but spent 10 yrs in LA. We moved to small town Pa where people left cars “running” for the quick item, hitching posts for The Amish, and bags of fertilizer left out overnight at the feed store, stacked and available. Blew my mind

You must live in a nice part of America. It’s not like this everywhere. Try that in any part in California where criminals are protected by politicians and you will see.

It’s not like this in all areas of the US. I grew up in the South. You have bad areas in all states. I would never leave my doors unlocked or windows down in any area of the US.

Sorry Jason but that applies to a few states and areas only. Try leaving your car window open in many other part across America and you wont have a car when you get back or your wheels will be missing and your car on cinder blocks

I’ve never thought about someone jamming a fob. That’s insane. Also, those chains are partially for theft and partially for wind. It gets crazy windy in some parts of the US and they don’t want those getting blown off their stand and breaking.
