I’d have seriously injured myself trying to jump that fence like you just did

Hahaha I’ve been lucky

You need dwarfism armor and a saddle

Hahaha

I am so glad you did not embarrass the family by tripping over, and getting zapped by that wire! 🤦♀️

That would have been solid gold

Yup

I used to have one that would chase me around and start climbing up on me when she came in to heat. I figure it was because I was the one that most looked like her kind.

One of my old ones was like that she’s in the freezer now haha

OK - tell the truth. Did you do that awesome jump in a single take?

Hahaha of course

Just jokin'. Quite impressive. I never had the guts to even try jumping over our electric fences - that was only a single wire. Always went under...

We have two wires but it’s for pigs so not too high

That is one tame hog!

She’s a sweetheart

I’m not sure which was more impressive the fence hop or riding a pig!

Hahahaha

Hey hey hey this is a family friendly app 😳🫣

Hahaha

Pretty good hops for a shawty! 😂😂👏👏👏

Hahahaha thanks

How much does Marge weigh and is she a pet or future food?

She’s around 600 and she’s a breeding sow

Mighty fine stock to breed with!!!!!!!

Thank you

🫢dogs are easier to figure out. nasty tho, blood drops all over the place. so when she is in heat, if you don't have a boar how do you breed? with a neighbors' boar?

No artificial insemination

Gotcha. Interesting. Had a mastiff we tried that with but it didn't take unfortunately. Error of the vet tho.

Pigs are pretty easy it only has to be kept at 64 degrees

I'd love to raise them to eat but get too attached to animals - I'd wind up with 10 in no time, each with a name & favorite thing about them, hats, coats...just kidding, but they would have a soft spot in me. I stopped eating portk, who wants to buy pork made in Chainah. Not me.

It’s not easy they are very likable

Really wish people around here raised & prepped them. Only kids in 4-H where have to pay for slaughter which isn't economical when it's one, and a local who charges insane prices for mainly cattle but also pork, chicken, and turkey they raise. Wish I knew the type before moving here. Very fake. Overpriced everything. Should have moved to TX.

✝️👑😆😂🤣

Hahaha

Plus do you keep your own Boar.

No we don’t we do a I

Cool. Interesting. It has gotten big in the coonhound world. Using semen from 50 years ago. A really smart cattle farmer who was ahead of the curve on A.I. was also an avid coonhunter. He led the way for us in that arena of hounds.

That way awesome

“Get a room!” sorry too easy and cheap Marge is amazing

She’s a good girl

Sure is

Oh yeah she's ready

I think so

Jesus 🤦♂️

@SirBradical What ?

Fat man mounting a hog? 😆

@SirBradical Hahaha

“Large Marge”

She sure is

Hmm I have questions but won’t ask…

What ?

@4paulryan I have a couple. Why did you jump on her?

@4paulryan If she lets me sit in her she’s in heat

@4paulryan Why/how is that an indicator?

@4paulryan Standing heat

The feeling I would get after jumping a fence like that:

Hahahaha

Good lord Marge is huge 😳😂😂👍🏻

She’s a biggun

😂😂

😂

Hahaha

I wish I could jump a fence like that!

🍻

Any piglet updates?

They are growing fast

Yep. Look at those ears stand up.

Yup

That was quite a jump.

Thanks hahaha

How often do they come in heat?

Every 21 days

Did you rub against a boar beforehand? We would always walk a boar in front of them and then grab them in the flank right in front of that back leg and pull on it.

We don’t have a boar or I would we do a I

We did a i as well but the sows were crated so we walked a boar in front of them or if we were breeding in a pen we would just let the boar in and if he mounted great. We had them plastic clamps that mimicked the squeeze. I just always thought you needed boar scent. Lead something new every day! Good lookin sow though!

I do have a boar spray but when they are standing good I don’t need it

Makes sense! Ya ever sneak a spray on one of your buddies legs before walking around the farm? I wouldn’t be able to resist.

Hahahaha that would be funny

My goodness- the Jump!

Hahahaha

Well done- thought only Texans could do that.😊

Are hogs easy to keep? I have 12 acres of woods with 2 acres of agrass clearing?

The pig from your farm is so cute.🤣
