Enginefall is a PvPvE Extraction Shooter that is played completely on gigantic trains, in a Snowpiercer-like dystopic scenario. Your base is a small train, from which you enter a "Titan-Train" where you find materials, NPCs and other players. You fight your way to the front, build temporary bases to store your loot and extract to your small train base in the end. Enginefall is hosting a Playtest from June 8 to 22 on Steam.

Magnus Carlsen once again reminded the world why he is the GOAT. Even after a subpar start by his standards, he won everything on demand to win the Tepe Sigeman Chess Tournament 2026! Magnus entered the final round a half point down from Arjun Erigaisi. He played an amazing game to defeat Yagiz Kaan Erdogmus - a long battle which lasted more than 5 hours. He did the job, and Arjun drew his game against Andy Woodward - this meant that Magnus had to play tiebreaks against Arjun in 30 minutes! Magnus started in style with a clean win against Arjun in the 1st Blitz game. Arjun struck back in the 2nd Blitz game - it was now time for Sudden death! Magnus won the Sudden death game with the Black pieces to win the tournament - here you see his expression and sigh of relief after he became the Champion. What an absolutely amazing guy Magnus Carlsen is. When he's down, when he's tested, he always finds a way to rise up to the occasion! How do you take one of humanity's oldest games - a game long stigmatized as difficult to learn, even harder to master, and mostly played by introverted nerds - and turn it into a fun, hugely successful computer game for the masses? Enter Battle Chess. Yes, you still had to know (or learn) the rules to actually play. But let's be honest: it's far more enjoyable to learn while playing - and even losing - when you watch your queen dramatically devoured by an enemy rook, or your king comically flattened under its fist. Each encounter had its own animation, beautifully done. Obviously, there's no hard data on how many kids and teens in the 80s and early 90s first got hooked on chess thanks to this wonderful game. But I know I was one of them. Battle Chess sparked my interest, led me to join a chess club in 1989, play in a few tournaments (I never won), and still enjoy the game today. I'd like to believe I wasn't the only one. I often feel that pre-2000 games had a bigger positive impact on us than many modern (mobile) games do on kids today. I'm not claiming all current games are worthless - far from it - but I'll stand firm on this hill: older titles sometimes delivered real educational value without players ever feeling like they were being "taught" something. Battle Chess was exactly that kind of game.
