Cheryl Lynn. Got to Be Real

Miss this kind of raw talent; doesn’t seem to be at this level now 😣

Cheryl Lynn tracked the lead vocals at dawn, improvising in the studio. Producer David Foster added horn arrangements to the mix at the last minute to give it that club energy that made it an eternal disco anthem in 1978. 🎤

Reminds me of roller-skating as a kid in NYC. This & Alicia Myers "I wanna thank you" 🎙🎵🎶

@itsthegroovepod The REAL Cheryl Lynn! 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾 👏🏾

I’ll tell you, you’re bringing back memories cause her song “Encore” had me on the floor all the time. Love her 🤩

I knew it was a predominantly white/North Asian-descent audience when they start clappin on each quarter beat 🤦🏾‍♂️

Another great singer I forget to put on my all time greatest singer’s list.
